Land warfare, I give China 4-5 stars, though China saw what happened to Chinese supplied weapons to Iraq.

2. How much lower the score the tibetian kids can have to get into a university than Han kids?
3. How much subsidies a tibetian can get from the chinese government than average han.
...Given all those benefits we would like to switch the positions with Tibetians. You just recite some budhism and boom you have the money.

I don't think China is ready to be called a "world power" yet. It still must go through many hurdles before it will truely be a world power.

Like it or not, China is already a recognized world power. Yes, there r problems within China (environmental, social, economic) just like any other country. If anything, the US has a LOT more hurdles to go through if it wants to remain a world power. Iraq, Afghanistan, the economic woes r just the start. As long as China continues this political and economic direction, it will be a superpower within the next decade.

@mattlim76 You are partially correct. China is definetly considered a world power to many people, but to most educated people they will tell you they are most definetly not. In the past, western nations would not even consider China as a viable threat. Only this past century has China become a reckoning force on the world stage. It is too early to predict China's future, they will make their own destiny. For now, China will be making products for us to use from Walmart.

There is a difference between world and superpower. Lets look at some. Canada, for instance, is a middle power. Russia, the US, Britain, France, Germany, China are all world powers. U have a strong military might, economic capabilities, and hold strong powers on the world stage. Which educated person does not consider China a world power? Stupid military parades like this do not mean it is a superpower. The U.S. is a superpower and it dosen't have to show off like China. I've been to China 5 times. My family lives there. U went once and just thought it sucked. Correction, the US is an outgoing superpower. Its stupid arguments like this that make u sound like a fucking redneck retard. Yeah, and Bush's smears against the democrats, with real military records, who opposed him on Iraq was free speech. Racism against blacks along with staunch immigration laws in Arizona r part of USA's strong record on equal rights. Not to mention the natives and gay rights.
