  • How are lungfish and rainbows able to co-exist? aren't lungfish carnivorous?

  • ones i had a african lungfish about that size in my tank, tank is a 540l....but i could only have him and nothing else in there, exept small neons n such....it ate everything and made a huge mess with the gravel....werry cool fish but i had to give it away

  • Fun Fact: The Lungfish is called Lungfish because humans use it for lung transplantation.

  • lungfish is not a beautiful fish i love arapaima gigas

  • Really remind me of manatees :S

  • will the lungfish eat the rainbow ? ...

  • im sorry but i really hate these's things ..i once thought they was awesome but one day i saw a huge one with blue eyes crawl out the water and ete a mouse...

  • do you think it can be kept with an arapaima?

  • were is it

  • those australian lungfishes are HUGE!!!!!! one can cost easily $3000 in 30cm size!! calculate it if its that BIG!!! WOW!!!

  • they look like prehistoric monsters....that is so awesome

  • that fish need to live forever, why???

    FOR THE NEXT GENERSTION...

  • @drunkdivamariahcarey

Should be the motto for everyone: "Do everything you can to safe nature for the next generation."

  • what a historical... SPECTACULAR!

  • @drunkdivamariahcarey

Yes, true! Thanks for your comment!

  • cool can you have a lungfish in your tank

  • @alexander76675

I've seen a african lungfish in a fish tank of a pet store... but i don't think you can keep such giants in an ordinary tank.

  • lungfish is arowana in the mud

  • @drunkdivamariahcarey

If you wanna call them that way.^^

  • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN nice fish tank LOL beautiful huge fish i bet you talk to them every day HAHAHHAHA anyways DAAAAAAMN loool that would have been expensive and when u hear big splashes at night would be hilarious

  • @UmakeMeSYK

    LOL!^^

But unfortunally this is none of my personal tanks. it's the tank of a zoo.

  • that's a crazy combination. I guess they are faster...

  • @Dustinsfishtanks

I think they don't have a problem with eachother because those lungfish feed from Mollusks, Crustaceans, Mussels and Snails.

  • @n03lzz Ahh shows what I know about those monsters... pretty wild fish. Where in Germany are you? I lived in Leipzig and Berlin for a while... I love some of the fish you guys crank out!

  • @Dustinsfishtanks

I live in a town near Düsseldorf in the west of Germany.

  • bloody big fish

  • @RowanTolley02

    oh yeah...

  • it looks overcrowded

  • @Kristrat

Well, it's very very big tank. Still much room to swim.

  • Looks more like a 600g tank to me

  • @medicine2:

If i should guess i'd say 1100+ us gallon... But i don't know its exact size. At least the front glass panel is 1,4 meter (4.6 feet) high.

  • Kewl tank I wouldnt personally mix bosemani rainbows and lungs but its a cool effect I suppose.....

  • @pgcrswll:

But some rainbows live in the habitats of the lungs in Queensland, aren't they? Maybe not the bosemani...

  • hahah they look like armourdillos

    wait....fucking gross dude!

  • Lol, yes kinda...^^

  • are they hungry

  • I don't ask them ;)

  • your lucky to have a tank that size. i am getting a 125gallon and I am putting my Alligator Gar, 2 Oscars, and fire Eel in it.

  • I would be the luckiest guy on earth, i think.^^ But it's not my tank it's of a Zoo Aquarium near my hometown.

  • oh, but it is still an amazing video.

  • haha, everyone who comments on your videos thinks its your tank.

  • Yeah, right. That's why i wirte "@ a Zoo Aquarium [1/1]" into the heading.

    I think it doesn't help. :S

  • the alligator gar will eat it

  • sorry but a 125 is waaaay too small for a gar

  • I had to get rid of the 125. It was old and cracked so I have my fish in a 30 gallon momentarily. The Gar is only about 6-8 inches at the moment so it is fine and I am getting a 75gallon soon. I will have to sell or get rid of my Alligator Gar somehow. My local fish store does take large fish though.

  • what make you think it is a 125 gallon tank?

  • Gargantuan,Massive,Humungus, the works....:) Not that I'm trying 2 teach you or anything.

  • ok..^^

  • no offence man but 'huge' is an understatement :)

  • Yeah, maybe... what do you think is the right word?^^

  • This Zoo Aquarium is an amazing place. If I go to Germany, I'll definately check it out.

  • If you come to my region, i can give you several cool adresses. =D

    Nils
