  • the salkinds who created both superman movies

almost had the same idea by having superman and

his cousin in a film together but the idea did not take off

but lou scheimer made it work with he-man and long lost

sister she-ra in a movie both had crossovers in m,asters of the universe

and she-ra the princess of power and the christmas special movie .

  • 539,739 views! WE HAVE THE POWER!

  • i reconised just about every scene, but the third where it shows adam, cringer, and orko by the lake...dying to know what episode that is.

  • @532nick I think that was done especially for this video.

  • Wow...................i've been looking for years to find this song!!! Absolutely AMAZING guitar!!!

I born in the 80's, NUFF SAID!!! He-Man and The Masters of The Universe....FOREVER!!!

  • I usually do not like music videos. But this is an exception! I like this one very much!

  • @eatit84123 What a dumb comment. You have no education. You are a country fag.

  • Concerning some arguments I've been seeing, great children's shows work on two levels; one for children and one for adults. I can't speak for He-Man, but I've been watching a lot of She-Ra lately, and these things have become plain...

There is a hint of attraction between Adam and Adora, as often happens when brother and sister meet for the first time as adults. She-Ra is definitely bi-sexual and Bow is both a manly man and a bit of a girly man/transvestite, but not gay. He really loves women!

  • Orko would make Mickey from Rocky proud for he can truly eat lightning and crap thunder.

  • i keep beinging up the incest problems XD

  • Great music video. Thanks for uploading, this is a classic.

  • Fuck yes, this is awesome.

Although they really needed somebody with a deeper voice for He-Man.

  • 3:20

    Did.... did Orko... just explode?

  • Comment removed

  • one word,

    BADASS

  • you made this so awesome, i'm crying as i listen to it!

    It's masterful!

  • so awesome.

  • He-man was the best cartoon ever for me. My wife bought me the box set for my Christmas a couple of years back, Amazing!

  • @remoteholder what if Adam brushed Cringer's teeth with She-ra's toothbrush and after she-ra went into the bathroom and when she started to brush her teeth Adam walked in and said uh sis then she-ra answered what Adam? then Adam said i used your toothbrush to brush Cringer's teeth! then She-ra screamed EEEEEEWWWWAAAHHH BLLLLLLEEEEAAAAAGGGHHHH until Randor got into the bathroom and said she-ra why are you gagging like that? then she-ra said Adam used my toothbrush in Cringer's mouth yeeackk!

  • 34 people got their ass kicked by he-Man and She-Ra :)

  • I miss the 80's!

  • @Aznar245 me too even though i was born 1997 i believe that the cartoons back then were AMAZING unlike the ones nowadays..

  • These were my favorite cartoons from the 80's baby! I still love them at 27 yrs old lol.

  • Mmmmm Princess Adoraaaaaaa

  • @adiu75 Actually, Adora fancied Sea Hawk over Bow, although Bow was smitten with She-Ra.

  • @BradLad56 Besides the skin color, he becomes a bit taller and his voice changes from tenor to bass (shades of Bud Collyer, who played Clark Kent/Superman on radio) with a bit of an echo in it. Funny that She-Ra's voice didn't echo.

Anyhow, it's a combination of the lackadaisical personality Adam cultivates making him unlikely to be a hero at all, the fact that nobody thinks He-Man even has a secret identity, and just a bit of magic.

  • @Fantasiastic "He in fact was gay."

I take it, then, that you have documentation from Filmation attesting to your claim?

Bow spent a lot of time with Glimmer, lest you forget.

  • @MaskedMan66

Sorry who is gay? It's been to long I can't remeber what this comment was referring to.

  • @Fantasiastic Nobody is in these shows, but you were talking about Bow, Adora's archer friend. He clearly fancied She-Ra and also associated a lot with Glimmer. Plus, he was based on Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. and Errol Flynn, two of the most masculine dudes ever lived.

  • @JCLeSinge Here's where your theory falls to pieces: the characters in these CHILDREN'S shows were not oversexed perverts.

    Thank you and good night.

  • @JCLeSinge Pink is just a color. In Nigeria, men wear pink simply because it's a bright, festive color. It's really only in the U.S. that pink's developed this stupid stigma.

Ever hear of Sir Percy Blakeney? Don Diego Vega? Bruce Wayne? All these men present themselves publicly as ne'er-do-wells or even fops, but it's all an act so people will never imagine they could be the Scarlet Pimpernel, El Zorro, and the Batman.

  • @dansac Regardless of what you think, these shows were made for children by people who were dedicated to creating children's entertainment.

"Epic," Now, there's a word that's lost its meaning through overuse.

As for Siegmund and Siglinda, their ill-advised and ill-starred tryst brought about (a) a blithering idiot who married his aunt and (b) Ragnarok.

Not exactly a recommendation of incest.

Bottom line, Adam (who loved Teela) and Adora (who loved Sea Hawk) were not incestuous.

  • Looks like 34 people don't have the power!

  • @thewarnole but 991 people DOES!

  • Maskedman, I think you are taking this a bit too seriously.

  • @InvisibleCloudKing Your opinion has been noted, filed, and disregarded.

  • @MaskedMan66 If you are into powerful men there is a TV series called Rome. It is about how one family in two generations was able to overthrow the Roman Republic and make themselves Emperors. It is based on real events. And there are a lot of muscular men with large swords. I think you would like it. The show is not exactly G rated.

  • @InvisibleCloudKing Heard of it. Sounds like someone's attempt, a la "The Tudors," to make it look like the early 21st Century Western way of thinking has always been in effect. The phrase "based on" sometimes hides an unspoken "loosely"; this applies to historical dramatizations as well as literary adaptations.

As for beefcake with blades, my wife would be more attracted to that than I. Me, I'm waiting for that "Red Sonja" movie with Rose McGowan.

  • @MaskedMan66 Well don't burst my bubble. I am counting down the days until the DVD release of the Eagle.

  • @InvisibleCloudKing I've heard of that case! There have been a lot of interesting speculations on what really happened, some plausible, some quite imaginative.

  • @Veezyjung Don't you love your siblings? There are more kinds of love than "romantic" love, you know.

  • @jci10 Interesting observations! I would, however, say that the business of walking the universe to find "her" would be more like Christ seeking those lost to Him, namely those who became Church.

  • @Oyaria Sweet Bee, you mean.

And how about that Frosta? Ice queen in power only, otherwise a bit of a firecracker!

  • @blackxypher Qubo has!

  • @darthexylus What do you think sci-fi and comic book conventions are for? Dressing up and pretending to be your favorite heroes!

  • Forget the sex jokes... did... did Orko just EXPLODE?

  • fun song, but it really sounds more like a love song that something two siblings would sing XD

  • @warriorking4ever There are more forms of love than romantic love, and one of them is filial love. So yes, this is a love song about the love siblings share between them.

  • @EatIt84123 No. They should not. Go away.

  • @EatIt84123 SICK!

  • @EatIt84123 NO Not clever you sick pervert

  • see also my new remix I composed to /watch?v=Dg7Ap4tW2nI and /watch?v=9iuJxaP5NBY

  • I gotta say, I really have a soft spot for cheesy 80's power ballads, and this is no exception. I like that they actually took the time to make a special video like this. Now if only I could get the song without all the sound effects in the background.

  • @Krendall2 You can! It's on the "Secret of the Sword" DVD.

  • Fantastic! Thank you. I really enjoyed this. I used to want to be He-man but my brother alas pointed out, I am a girl so I had to be She-Ra.

  • I showed my little cousin she-ra and thundercats and he loves watching them. It doesn't matter him that the cartoons are 20+ years old. Good cartoons are good cartoon regardless of the time they were made.

  • Back then, "He-Man" and "She-Ra" were THE shows to watch.

    And this video rocks!

  • Oh man thank you for helping me to relive those campy childhood days of the Lou Scheimer era of 80s animation. My god were we that naive back then that we needed a moral lesson at the end of each episode. Looking back on things from when I was eight and nine years old tie answer would have to be yes we were.

  • @Chibihalo2 Hey, kids need moral lessons now more than ever.

  • That's funny, I don't remember He-Man sounding so prepubescent.

  • @rikky383 That's because it isn't his voice actor doing the singing. Mind you, on the "Secret of the Sword" DVD, there's an alternate track of this featuring a male singer with a deeper voice.

And for the record, Adora's singing voice is Erika Scheimer, who usually played Angella, Look-ee, and various others.

  • Did... did Orko EXPLODE?

  • love it

  • This is an excellent video, as is the movie "The Secret of the Sword". Those guys at Filmation were geniuses. Seeing as the Twins of Power were my boyhood heroes (and they still are my heroes), I could hardly think of a better way to introduce the world to He-Man long lost twin sister, She-Ra!

  • geiles Video, fühl mich gerade um 20 Jahre zurückversetzt. ja,die serie hatte es echt drauf.

    5 *

  • 3:22 i could watch that trippy thing for hours

  • I always knew they were siblings and understood that from the time I saw the movie in theatres at five years old. Yep, I'm almost 32.

  • he man and she ra yo ar from qubo nat aut

  • my step dad watched this when he was a kid, and he told us so much about it, when I finally got to watch it i was like... "wtf?"

  • I have all the action figures of she-ra :D got them when they first came out

  • @saberlilly1 My little brother smashed all of mine when I wouldn't lt im play with my friend and I... Lol I'll rgive him one day .

  • Fuckin epic man. I love the old cartoons.

  • I have never seen this before ,,Till now I never knew it existed thank you for sharing this gem

  • @Wheeljack35 you can get this video as an extra on the He-man and She-ra Christmas special dvd on amazon.com

  • This is the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. If you want the perfect metaphor for the 80's, look no further!! Criticize all you want, but you will find this tune dancing around inside your head for the next few hours or even days, thanks to it's "catchy" melody. They don't write music like this anymore, folks... And they certainly don't write music this "cheesy" anymore, which is a shame. :) Talk about reliving one's childhood! Thanks for posting!!!!

  • I remember watching this when I was a kid. I had no idea who She Ra was, and for a moment I thought she would become He Man's girlfriend, I remember I got angry because I was such a huge Teela fan back then. Oh childhood innocence, how I miss it.

  • @andoc SHE-RA is He-man''s twin sister name Adora.

  • @andoc SHE-RA is He-man''s twin sister name Adora.

  • @andoc They probably could've been boyfriend and girlfriend if they'd lived in Norwich...

General comment: Anyhow, I enjoyed this film as a kid but these days it seems like there is too much emphasis on She-Ra characters and ont enough Skeletor...

  • @Jermyn78 That's because it's their show, not his.

  • @andoc There are some hints that Adam and Teela were in romance. I miss those days too ;).

  • @marcus10 If the 2003 reboot hadn't been canceled, they were going to get together. Damn Cartoon Network for doing a crap job advertising it.

  • @marcus10 Only in your mind, mate, only in your mind.

  • @MaskedMan66 You havent watched all episodes + comics.

  • @marcus10 Irrelevant. Filmation would never have rpesented things in that perverted fashion, not unless they wanted to cheapen and degrade their characters and bring the wrath of parents' groups upon them.

Now, mind out of the gutter.

  • @MaskedMan66 *represented

  • @MaskedMan66 Sorry mate, but it did happen. I remember some episode when Teela speaks about difference between men and women. In the end she lays her hand on Adams and say "it is great there is some difference" while Adam looks at her and smiles to her at very distinctive way. Small shildren wont understand anything, but older - believe me, will. Now - get some treatment, I would say you desperatly need one.

  • @marcus10 You know what? I read your initial post too fast and thought you said "Adora" rather than Teela; my very boneheaded bad!

You're quite right about Adam's crush on Teela, and from the scene you describe (which episode was that?), she eventually became sweet on him as well.

Sorry again; I was just so irritated by all the "incest" comments that I wasn't seeing straight.

  • @MaskedMan66 It was long time ago, but I remember some things - Adam and Teela somehow get in some other dimension where women are rulers and men are slaves-workers in mines below the city. After big problems their society understands that gender segregation is wrong, and in the end Teela has that conversation with Adam. BTW - next time read comments first.

  • @marcus10 I haven't seen that episode, but the plot's a sci-fi staple; "Doctor Who" used it in "Galaxy Four" and "Star Trek: The Next Generation" used it in "Angel One."

LOL I did read your comment; it was just that one word I glossed over. But I will be more attentive from now on.

  • @EatIt84123 I'm guessing by "both of you," you mean marcus10 and me, in which case you should have put my name in the box as well.

Tellya what: define "a life," and I'll bet it turns out I've got quite a full one. I can't speak for marcus10, but I have a feeling he's doing well too.

  • @EatIt84123 Hmm... Interesting definition, but very limited and subjective, and also wildly inaccurate. Not to mention the fact that you seem to be doing the exact same thing you've accused me of doing.

But be assured, I'm a husband, a homeowner, an actor, and a writer, and I have many other things to occupy my time. In other words, I have quite a full life.

  • @andoc hi it is Anna here from bigdimond sh- ra is he- man twin sister not his girlfirend

  • @bigdimond Duh, Thats what he just said.

  • @andoc lol!i am a kid and one of my friends told me about she-ra and he-man about a few months ago and my mom is really shocked that i like it!i think it really brings her memories... :)

  • who ever said this video is a dislike an idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They REALLY need to bring this to Teletoon Retro someday! I loved She-Ra, when I was little. Watched He-Man, too. I'd DEF sit and watch it again! Re-live a part of my childhood. : )

  • 33 horde troopers disliked this vid.

I <3 this song! :D Thank you for posting it. I've never heard this full version before.

  • @mahiraja1 Sorry, could you re-word that to where an English-speaking person would understand what you're trying to say?

  • love is power!

  • AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • God this song is so Churchy. It talks alot about love and god if you listen to it right.

  • @mikahael1 I'm not sure what you're hearing, but I can certainly see it as an expression of Jesus seeking His flock.

  • If you didn't like this song then you probably didn't like the movie either. Then again you missed the point and the lessons the movie was trying to teach. I can't wait till my niece is old enough to watch this so I can enjoy watching the movie through her eyes. It makes me sick that some people have to bring others down with their perverted remarks.

  • @JaggedHill Bravo!

  • he- man she-ra we have the power so am i but i reach of my sowrd and i said BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL!. I HAVE THE POWER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 33 people missed the like button I see. :P

  • New METAL version of this song will be released soon by FURIA band!!!!

    XDDDDD

  • we need 2 get this re-released it needs 2 b number 1

  • the first lesbian unicorn lol

  • @lavosgundam They are not incestuous; where do even see a hint of anything like that?

As for Luke, who says that when he found out he didn't look back on that kiss (I'm guessing you mean the one on Hoth) with a shudder of revulsion? Besides, Leia's with Han in case you didn't know.

  • Thanks for the posting papawindy! I have the Power!

  • @DannyGrowth he man is not gay! mabey to you he is but not kids who love watching it, dont be a perv,

  • @frsnduffy He was in love with Teela.

  • @MaskedMan66 I know, i always wanted them to get together, : )

  • @frsnduffy There was once a plan to do a sequel series called "He-Ro." The title character was to be the son of Adam and Teela, who would have been the rulers of Eternia when Randor passed on. Adam would have handed over the sword and the poer of Grayskull to his son, who would then become the new defender of Eternia.

The next logical step would have been a show about the daughter of Adora and Bow, I imagine.

  • @MaskedMan66 *power

  • @MaskedMan66 Well, Adora's love interest was Sea Hawk, not Bow. But, yes, next logical step I suppose.

  • @AlleluiaElizabeth Oh yes, Mr. "Broil me in butter and call me a flounder." I'd forgotten about him. And now you mention it, Bow did mostly hang out with Glimmer. Well, I suppose if Han Solo can marry a princess, so can another scruffy pirate.

  • @MaskedMan66 lol Yeah, him. I always kinda liked Bow with Glimmer. They'd apparently known each other a long while, too. Bow did show crushes on Adora and She-Ra, though, so I can understand why you remembered him as her possible love interest. Those affections just weren't requited. (In the way HE wanted anyway. lol)

I think Sea Hawk's ship's name was even bird themed, too. lol

  • @AlleluiaElizabeth Hmm, if Bow married Glimmer, what color would their kids' hair be?

And of course, Sea Hawk himself was named after a famous swashbuckler movie.

  • Comment removed

  • @abraxasbrother B/c it would scar me for life and possibly ruin my childhood? :-)

  • @AlleluiaElizabeth ha ha ha... I'm sure in Etheria and Eternia they're more open minded and probably educated their children to be tolerant.

Oh wait... now I remember Hordak is in charge in Etheria and even burnt books! Well... She-Ra and the rebels will make things change. :-)

  • @abraxasbrother When did Adam "reject" Casta? He was put off by Frosta's, shall we say, enthusiastic advances (then again, they were in the middle of a battle-- time and place, Frosta!), but he definitely took a real shine to Castaspella and enjoyed her attentions (probably because she liked him as himself and not just as He-Man). Then again, she was robbing the cradle a bit.

But as has already been stated time and again, Adam's destined love is Teela.

  • @MaskedMan66 that person may not know you but we can only see what you show us on here and then come to an opinion on our own. while eatit may be crass but funny, he has a point..... its pretty sad when it comes to arguing about an 80's character and who they were dating or interested in. sorry dude.

  • @EatIt84123 LMFAO You call him a fag when you're the one who wants to see a "tranny porn!" Pathetic.

  • @EatIt84123 That was no video of mine; there are no videos of me here.

You apparently missed where he says he has a wife. No fag, him. You on the other hand.....?

  • @EatIt84123 Put it this way: who knows me better, me or you? Me.

Who knows what I look like, me or you? Given that we've never met, that would be me again.

What would I gain by lying? Nothing. So I might as well tell the truth. And I have.

  • @EatIt84123 You haven't heard my voice, you haven't seen me walk, and I don't do cunninglingus.

Aaaaah, now it comes to the point! You want to see me so you can play with yourself. Well, nothing doing, tranny-fan.

  • @EatIt84123 Nope. You know nothing. You just spew the same insults over and over, somehow thinking in your blinkered mind that constant repetition somehow constitutes "proof." Have you tried spamming things more than once? Can't be done on YouTube. Someone else is apparently helping me.

Suuuuuuuuure you like it! That's why your tiny boobs are heaving and you got your hand in your panties, wishing to see me, so you can see what a real woman looks like.

    Assuming you really are female.

  • @EatIt84123 Riiiiight. And who is FacelessMind7, I wonder?

  • @FacelessMind7 You lose your bet.

  • @EatIt84123 ROTFL And how do you suggest I "prove it?"
