845 just for a bare frame . they are kidding them selfs Droidworx ,WTF ? i though oh yeah complete ready to run be ok . for 2oo dollars you can get one ready to fly not as big , but fuck me 845 for a frame .and canopy lol thats a rip off .
This is really nice! I love the airframe and and stability of the aircraft. I would like to build my own, but I'm more interested in aerial photography with videography as an added bonus. What are the flight times with your setup? Does it have GPS hold?
@nomade12345 I bought the CX4 airframe direct from Droidworx in Nelson, NZ. Bought the Wookong from Photohigher in Wellington, NZ. It was built at Photohigher in Wellington, then I spent a week fine tuning and testing it.
Hi this is my latest favorite video on YT Well done! I am currently compiling a shopping list for my latest project ( first time I will be attempting a multiple rotor machine) and I am interested in your cx4 setup? Would you please be able to PM me what set up you have found to be most compatible ie motor, prop, esc & battery combination. I have read some forums out there, but it takes allot of digging to find the right answers (information overload) thanks in advance!
@slypsi Thanks for your comments. We're using AXI 2214/17 motors, Graupner Elektro 10x5 props, ZTW 20Amp ESCs and 4 cell 4,500mAh LiPo batteries. We mount the LiPo battery underneath (as you see in the video) as we found mounting batteries inside the body was time consuming swapping them after each flight.
@NZVideoGuy Thanks for the quick reply, now I have a clearer idea of the set up im after. I was thinking about using Hyperion 25A ESC's + Hyperion 4 cell 5000mAh with the AXI 2214/17 motors - Relocating the batteries seems like a sensible idea too. Thanks again
OK thanks for the info, however i think i will stay with your first suggestion and go with the Naza, that will be a great starting point. Thanks again.
WOW !!! Your videos just keep getting better !!! I am so impressed !!! would you suggest getting one of these instead of the F450- NAZA? it seems to fly very steady, great for the GoPro ? PS, i checked out the DJI lists on receivers/transmitters and batteries but i have no idea what to select. HELP !!!
@MrDrains22 The cost of this CX4 including Spektrum radio and GoPro was aprox $8,000NZ ($6,000US). If you had someone build it for you it would be closer to $11,000NZ. Probably better to start with the Naza unless money is not a problem. A Spektrum DX8 would be a good radio. It comes with a receiver. For batteries, you need 2,200mAh 3 cell LiPo batteries (each battery will give you about 6 to 8 minutes flight time) plus a LiPo charger. DJI don't sell these, so you have to source from elsewhere.
good video , best looking quad chopper out there

@ALTN8NRG Flight times are around 6 to 8 minutes. Yes it has GPS hold, although the GPS didn't work at all well here in NZ. In India it worked fine.
