  • fly...go ahead...fly away from the human world :)

  • How far can you fly..or how long can you fly on one tank of gas?

  • I want to learn to fly one, then buy one, then fly around the uk, then fly around europe, then fly around Australia and then the world! Now how much would this cost me?

  • This is one of the best videos I have seen in Youtube!! Thanks

  • what if those retractable undercarriage is stuck and you have to land...

  • I WANT ONE!!!!!

  • I used to fly hang-gliders and cosmos trikes. This seems like it brings the two together well. I only wish I could afford one. A minimalistic two seater with retractible wheels would be tops.

  • beautiful thank you

  • I have 2 questions:

    1) Does retracting the wheels make a considerable efficiency difference taking into account the rear LG strut and wheels are thin and small enough to begin with.

    2) Is there any chance that retracting the tail LG would get ever stuck? Looks like

there is not much damping on the rear LG.

I think I would rather have the rear LG permanently there to minimize crash landing risk if Option 2 does indeed ever happen. I'm not nuch for style when it compromises safety.

  • Beautifull Just beaufitull....I am thinking of buying a parashut, and later the motor, for now i will use an electric motor too. If i knew the price of these thing and where one could buy them, maybe i will change my mind, but still parashutes to me seems to be the easiest one!!?

  • Why do you lift the wheels do they put that much drag on it just wondering great video

  • @stodd32 Not really, they just go up to make them look better to a potential buyer, "look at our product, it does this fancy thing".

  • @superjezz im sure it does make a difference even if it just 20 % less drag= longer flight time less wind buffeting and so on.

  • @6bettyboo9 You obviously bought one then?....

  • @superjezz lol no I wish! I am a speed freak however and things sticking out from your plane train or automobile create drag and slow you down. increase fuel consumption ect.

  • @6bettyboo9 No it doesn't.

  • Nice video! THNX!

  • Hitman BloodMoney themesong,i like it..

  • so nice wauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu i love

  • great video and Bach is the best

  • Can you get these in Tandem (2 seats) would itstill work me and my girlfriend combined weight of around 19stone... or 240 pounds

  • how much for one?

  • Nice aircraft, wrong music.

  • beautiful trike, congratulations.

  • beautiful brilliant aircraft

  • beautiful production... great music. Enjoyed very much...Spaciba.

  • Incroyable comment ns pouvons ameliorer un ULM sans trop exagere pour ne pas lui enlever son identite.

  • I have my private pilot license with 115 hours flying in a Piper PA-38, it would be easy to fly one of these?

  • where can you buy those i want one!!!

  • if you go to flylight's web site, given at the end of the film, and go into Flexwings on the menu bar and then Dragonfly, you can then see all the prices and ordering information.

  • This is beautiful.... ;P

  • I worry I would forget to put the wheels in place and burn my butt when landing. Seriously.

  • You'll only do it once.... I promise you that

  • Actually, I have done it 5 times now and still not damaged the plane or burned my butt.

It is very much an anti climax.

  • @superjezz do what once?

  • Do you need a pilot's licence to fly one of these in the UK ?? I want one !!!!

  • Yes you do need a pilot's license for the UK.

  • bought one

  • Nice one, Had a look at these at the NEC.....I want

  • Damn it, now I want one of those :D

What is such a thing called?

  • Those are Ultra Light Trikes

  • thanks

  • The plane is the Dragonfly by Flylight Airsports Ltd.

The contact details are at the end of the video.

  • Love how the landing gear goes up. how much is it?(in american dollars)

  • O video é muito bom mais a musica......em nome do pai do filho e do espirito santo........rsrsr

  • At what speed does it get off the ground?

  • Comes off at about 25 mph.

  • What is the max airspeed and service ceiling of these dragonflys? Nice vid.

  • Musica da funeral...

  • Disproportionate battery weight for such a light aircraft. Also, electric aircraft are not all that silent.A surprising amount of noise comes from the prop.

  • SUPER video :-)

  • Music to wake, horrible!

  • Good idea with this wheels coz better areodynamic, but looks better with three wheels out in air. Anywah this is slow aircraft so don`t need good aerodynamic, Anyway 5 stars for the music. Ave Maryja

  • That is an awesome trike. I love it! What type of parachute is in the headrest? Does it have a ballistic recovery system or a hand throw parachute?

  • I am pretty sure it's a regular hand thrown parachute, similar to parachutes used with hang gliders and paragliders.

  • Absolutely beautiful - both the Dragonfly and the whole video. I think I will become a dragonflier in the future :-)

  • This is the trike i'm going to buy! Love it!!!

  • Trike should be electric, It´s time to go silent. It can be done now. Fantastic !

  • We have, go and look at the film on the electric version, just type in e-dragon and you will see it.

  • Why does it need retractable landing gears??? Is it really necessary????

  • Yes, it does make a difference. The Dragonfly managed to fly 535 miles with a consumption of 75 miles to the gallon (16.5 miles to the litre) in a recent rally.

It also makes folding the trike to go inside the car easier as well.

  • Really well put together video with just the right music and a good looking aircraft (like the red myself). It's true what they say, If an aircraft looks right it is right. Getting back to basics, lightweight, and with a retractable gear. You deserve to succeed. Nice one.

  • Thank you.

  • How much money and where can you bye one

  • Prices are on Flylight Airsports Ltd web site.

    Address is on the film.

Go to the flexwing part of the site.

  • How much money is on of those

  • Absolutely awesome. I want to learn to fly an ultralight so much. Ultimately, I'd love to own a Dragonfly.

  • Excellent well put together video and looks like real good fun.

  • absolutely great

  • Great job Ben. It;s a lovely wee trike the dragonfly, especially in the blue. Just looks like a really comfy relaxing machine to fly. Have you tried soaring engine off?

  • Yes, it soars very easily without the engine and is as easy to keep in the air as most contemporary hang gliders.

Because of the automatic choke, engine restarts are just a press of the button, has to be the easiest microlight engine for starting.

  • wow nice! I never though I'd see a trike with retractable gear :D

  • wow i want it

  • ingeniuos little trike...very clever engineering

  • can i do this with my target?

  • The Target might just be able to support an 80 kg pilot with a no fairing Dragonfly and full fuel. I think the max payload for the reinforced Target 16 is 130 kg although this is not a tested figure.

The wing would have to have the strengthening mods done to it:

3 mm side wires. Power uprights for the control frame. Reinforced keel and hang bracket.

I believe all these are available from Aeros. If they are, Flylight can get them for you.
