I am an avid mountain biker in Waco and I go to Cameron Park at least 2 times a week. I have just been doing the river trail lately because i messed up my knee a little on a previous trail crash. Anyway, my question is that even though i have ridden most trails there I do not completely recognize the one you were riding on, which one was it?
Horses make deep divots in trails and the horse turds are just the right consistency often, to make a fast moving rider endo (crash) if they can't be avoided. Bikes can't "share the trail" with horses, unless its a Horse Trail.
ha,,, just realizing that it is possible to ride great mountain bike trails, even in Texas (where Im from and lived for 29 - 30 years). Im in BC, now, so, its even better riding, here, but, now I know I can bring my bike back with me and go have some fun riding trails back home, also. Cool looking trail, the type I like, not too crazy...
That would be pretty stupid. Riding horses on the bike trails or the walking trails for that matter. We try to be considerate of everyone. Which is far better than very few of the people we have met. Most are very nice.
The flat trails by the river we leave to the families who walk run etc. There are signs that say no horses, we do not go there...otherwise we ride everywhere else.
It is a shame that some folks do not want to "share the trails"
good video, gives me an idea of what cameron park is all about before i spend the 2 or so hours driving out there. interesting song choice...you should check out the alkaline trio cover of this if you are a fan.
Never mind about my last question, I totally recognize those trails now. I especially love going under the bridge.

I hope you are not riding the horses on the bike trails! Horses are cool, but they destroy bike trails!

Cool. I like riding horses, but I don't know where to ride any.

Keep it that way. Until horse riders start picking up horse poo and doing trail work they can stay away as far as i am concerned.
