i think gated saddlebred horses are really pretty but it hurts me to watch them. it looks so uncomfortable to have your head and neck that far up and run with your feet that high. plus it looks like the riders are leaning back instead of sitting up. idk thats just the western girl in me i guess

it's actually more of a natural movement for them to have their head and feet up that high. we just enforce it more. and the riders it just gives more balance to sit back in the saddle like that because of the movement of the horse.

i'm not qualified-- i still am in academy -- hopefully next year :) i'm getting out of academy this year but will NOT have qualified by that time :) haha but i will be there watching (hopefully) my friend Grace Viere qualifed in the Equitation she'll be on Delilah Belle

not really, thats what most show horses look like when they canter

um, not most of the time. as u see ur thinking of the rocking horse canter that most show horses have but he has more of a front-lifting canter that they use more of the front legs cantering there is a difference,

i love his canter though is is big and fun!!!!! it is like our other horses canter but he is a park horse.
