Tribe doesn't have the best musicians but they don't need to, they have their sound and progress on it as they get better. However, since peaceblaster came out that's 70% of what I've heard at their shows. They gotta keep the best and throw out the rest and return to a normal set list. And this full electronic sound is really making me stop going to tribe shows. Lotus is way better now.

alright well split hairs all you want, I just saw sound tribe in Los Angeles and Ive reached a more definite conclusion, good show, amazing show. Nice drumming, only he was abusing the snare. Very poppy drumming actually. The drum solo he played at one point in time was bad ass but even that was in 4/4. I wish the guitar would ahve been more crisp and not so 80's chorus sounding. Incredible lighting. Good people, for the most part. I'd go again in a heart beat.

dude. most jam bands play in 3/4 and they do change-ups while playing, switching from 3/4 to 4/4 and back again. i cant even keep count and even i know this. i can follow count though. check out madahoochi, they do mostly 3/4 like zep did.

and DWdrummer is very right, UM does a lot of weird timing too. so does tea leaf green, WSP, and many, many more. do some research, you will see (or hear).
