fuck Mason Jennings and fuck every little bitch who puts up their own cover of this song and fuck youtube for not having one video of the original song
I love how the director reinterprets historical events to be used in the Watchmen universe. Alan Moore should be proud, though I'm sure he could do better.
@julienlego Unfortunately Alan Moore despise the existence the movie. He didn't want to be credited in the movie and refuse to take the money, not even a penny. He said he wants to save himself from the embarrassment. Since DC now owns Watchmen, not Alan Moore anymore.
@lawofmatthew I'm not sure if he was embarrassed by the movie, he did say the adaptation was the closest that could have to come to the novel, but that he did things in the novel that would only work as a graphic novel. Moore believes none of his novels should be movies, as he believes he writes them as graphic novels because the stories work a particular way only in comic form.
It's still a great film though, and the graphic novel sits proudly on my bookshelf.
@mooneygerry And mine too. The tone of the movie, visual, casting, special effect... it's just great. It's too bad most critic just don't get the brilliant of this movie.
Hey guys, I'm a 15 year old amateur guitarist and I really want to get into the music industrie but it's really hard! I've just uploaded a cover of this, but I need some more views! Could you PLEASE go check it out? Not as good as this, but still... thanks a lot!
The flowers in the rifles did not happen at Kent State, it happened at a march on the Pentagon. As many have said, the Kent State shootings DID happen -- but that was not referenced in this movie. @LarryPink94 is correct, except in his assertion that hippies "always" did that. There are only a few documented cases, the most prominent of which I mentioned above. For more info, search Wiki for "Flower Power".
@ptmarion The day before the Kent State shooting, Allison Krause I think her name was, was supposedly photographed putting a flower in a gun barrel. However, the scene in the movie might be in reference to the photo of Jan Rose Kasmir.
It's not kent state, they were shot when they were attacking the national guard, this is just to show that it's a bit different by attacking peaceful protests, more severe in the "watchmen world". And hippies always put flowers in the barrels. - My guess and opinion
@WyldeJakk look up the picture. it's an actual picture , a young m an placing a flower in the rifle of an armed military man. but they weren't shot at that moment. the shootings came later in the riot
this version sucks ass man every bob dylan version loads so slow man i mean come on its 2011 u think this bull shit woul;nd be like this u think there would be hver cars and jet packs by now
had to look it up, it didnt happen exactly like that but it was equally as bad. the national guardsmen at kent state university in ohio killed 4 people that day. it was supposed to be a peaceful protest against the invasion of cambodia.
@anz00n like the 1960's "hippies" used peaceful tactics to get what they want. they thought the simple act of a flower beiing placed on a gun would be enough to stop a riot. idk if I explained it the way you wanted hehe
I believe it refers to the Kent State shootings. I guess some students placed flowers in the barrels of the soldiers' guns, in protest of the invasion of Cambodia.
