@erikauntitled I saw a lets play of it, and it looks terrible and very confusing from the actual Sims 3. You can only play one sim and you have to unlock being able to own different things and play different Sims. If they have a child. You can only play them when the queen dies. I don't think it's worth it. EA always finds a way to make it look cool. But the game feels like a downgrade but an upgrade at the same time. So my advice. Don't waste money on it.

Being a history freak, I want a Sims game that's like, Civil War-era. I love the 1860's and I'd LOVE the whole idea of having actual Sims like, fight in a battle and helping slaves escape in the Underground Railroad and all that jazz. It might be too advanced but I'd buy like 20 copies!

Also, where TS3 has mostly white people, and only a few, token non-whites, Medieval is has a much better mix, also more realistic.

I checked out youtube (official and non-official) videos for the game, but I found them to be bland. I was surprised by the great setting/atmosphere of the game. I'm not that fond of following a story line (though you do get to make choices), I think the game would be better/complete if quests were optional/you could play live mode without being on a quest. But I still think it's worth it. It has aspects of the Sims, but it's not the same.

Also, love the music :) It's just a whole different setting, and they did a good + thorough job on it. TS3 seems more 'kiddie' in comparison. Took time getting used to it not being as free as the Sims, but there are plenty of things that weigh up for that. It's a different game, for sure, but I would definitely recommend it. It definitely sets a magical mood for a gaming night :D

LOVE this game! :) Too guided at first, but gets better. Absoltely love the setting (I really hope they'll add a medieval world/town in TS3)! I would say this game is better than the Sims 3, also they did a better job on it. Also better/more realistic looking sims (they don't all look the same, as they do in Sims 3), better sliders for eg. eyebrows and in general. *Much* better hairs! I like being able to go visit the doctor etc, and it not being a rabbit hole..

it really doesn't, the game isn't for creating a sim to look amazing or buid awesome houses, its for quests and follwoing story lines

@europelove02 I know this is a bit late but it depends on whether you enjoy open game play or a pre-scripted storyline. I would recommend buying it if you want to try something different to an role-playing game. If you want a full review of the Medieval game check out the LGR (LazyGameReviews.) I enjoy this game much better than the Sims 3 (for some strange reason). The only thing I hate is that you can only play one Sim at a time, unless you play a quest, thus requiring two.

Anyways, I do give this five out of five. It's really addictive.

I got the sims Medival, and i think it is awesome! Its fun to "jump in the pit" which you saw at the very end, where he was the man jumped into the hole and was thrown up and thrown the board of the monster. And then you startet as a monarch jou can send people "in to pit" and you can also set people in gauntlet. :)

I already find this game better than the sims 3. But what i want for this game is, mounts, more deadly-er way to kill other sims, bows and crossbows, spears(not Britney), a little dagger here and there, and quests that involes kids. I find the children in the game to be way to useless. Thax.

This game fucken sucks! The end screws you in the asshole with a 10 foot pole! Your heroes no longer gain experience and stay locked in whatever level they are forever. FOREVER! So if you have a level 1 spy you haven't really been playing because you played the blacksmith a lot well to bad fuck you. You don't get to level him in free mode. Oh and if you want to take your lvl 10 blacksmith who is pimped to a new world fuck you again, he's now the monarch and can't do shit as a blacksmith!

The kingdom you fully pimped out in New Beginnings doesn't transfer over to the new ambition, even if you sail your level 10 black smith who is pimped the fuck out to the new world. He is now the monarch starting for scratch, all the furniture, spells, potions, wives, OTHER HEROES you made in the first map don't transfer over you have to start again from scratch. FROM SCRATCH
