  • Wow seriously, kick ass glitch. Any idea how it works?

  • Which one? The mojak glitch? That's because the tip of the mojak raises you up a little bit without doing collision detection overhead. When I jump, the initial velocity places me above the collision point so that I can pass through.

  • If you'll notice I don't stray too far away from the outside of the screen. At 00:25 I'm jumping around the "loading trigger" for the next room to get the the lower area.

Getting down to the next room requires a well-timed wall-jump right at the point the game will load the room below. It takes a lot of practice to get it right.

  • To go from one screen to the next (left or right) is tricky. You have to fall down off the very top of the level and wall-jump as soon as the next screen loads. It takes a lot of practice. Hopefully you can get it.

  • Which room are you having problems with?

  • What the hell? I had days to get over with this boss!

  • this game is awsum

  • that boss was pretty weak

  • It didn't feel weak the first time I played the game!

  • I guess he makes it look to easy :D

  • I was like wtf whats that familiar and that boss battle. I managed to get to the final boss, but didn't do this.

Now I remember, I DID the trident glitch to jump over the green guy that blocks the way to the final road and eventually the boss, I thought that was the intended way to get past the guy, lol.

  • Did you actually manage to beat Baphomet without the familiar? If so, I'm impressed.

  • I couldn't kill him, the only way I found to damage him was using the tridents to raise me to his level, but IIRC twice I managed to run out of tridents and he wasn't dead so I gave up thinking I was missing damage upgrades, and obviously I was.

Long time I played, there's an SOTN "anti-gravity boot" upgrade right? If my memory is right I wonder why I didn't use that.

  • With Prador's Sacrifice you can make one additional jump mid air and with Boots of Eluriel you can jump from walls. But even with these you can't go all the way up to Baphomet's hand, so you would still have to use Mojaks.

It should still be possible for some real guru to beat Baphomet with just that. I haven't tried.

Once you have the familiar and have passed the Trial things get a whole lot easier. I think Baphomet isn't even the toughest boss in the game. Hume and Throm were harder IMHO.

  • You thought Baphomet was EASY? Good god man...

Hume, after you figure out his pattern, is a patience game. He's somewhat tricky but if you are patient and don't let him get you into a corner, he's cake. But he's the only one I have consistent difficulty with besides Baph. And Baph is bloody impossible... I beat him twice, but that's besides the point.

  • I didn't say he was easy. I just think he wasn't THE toughest boss although he was difficult. And for some reason Baphomet didn't feel annoying unlike some other difficult bosses.

After I finished the game for the first time, I played the last part numerous times and eventually I could almost routinely beat him.

Inspired by this Fun Run I played the game from beginning again. This time Hume was a little bit easier but that blasted Throm was still testing my patience.

  • Baphomet isn't that hard if you practice a bit. Killing him is just:

    Kill the heads-in-the-wall.

    Fly up.

    Charge and hit Baphomet.

Jump down and hit him in the face.

    Repeat.

When fighting Baphomet I mostly get damaged if I'm careless (eg. my timing is off when he casts a spell and I don't manage to cancel it or I accidentally touch his head when hitting him) or if I'm really unlucky (eg. he starts casting a spell right when I'm standing on his hand and a one eyed monster is coming towards me).

  • @seneca983 you dont even need to kill the heads in the wall as they just regenerate eventually higher up so it's a waste of time

and while baphomet is really hard, the first time around, if you don't know how to beat them, hume and the brownie kings are probably the hardest

although after you've beaten the game once, they only take one or two tries after that

  • You don't NEED to kill them, but it makes things much easier IMHO. Killing them wastes very little time since they are very easy to kill: they die from just two hits from Ozar's flame, which can go up the wall. You can go up and hit Baphomet several times before the heads regenerate.

I agree that Hume and Brownie Kings are difficult. I think Throm is pretty hard too.

  • throm???

and yes i tried out the trick of killing the heads again and it worked out because my computer glitches up so not having the heads there helps

i just thought i'd point out that you dont necessarily need to kill them

actually i thought this game got a lot easier after you get helm charge which is why i get it really early

  • Throm is the worm infested Grodol king you have to kill.

  • awesome the trident glitch
