  • Hey, in the US version Yuna and Lenne sing together. It seems because the american version have it's chorus with 2 singers they decide to make both on the stage.

Anyways, Yuna transforming to Lenne is more consistent to cloning herself and then her clone transforming into Lenne. heheh

  • just played the japanese and english together on youtube, ITS SOOOOO EPIC!!!!

  • its kinda of like an anime music video.

they should make more of these x D hehe

  • @chaosQueenTitania Probably a racist lol

  • notice that in the english version the video is dark in the background but in the japanese version it's bright and clear in the background but both versions are great i love it

  • I think the Japanese scene shows more emotion due to the alternate scenes, but I honestly feel the English version of the song has a significantly better flow and melody to it. I love both versions, but the English one just... feels right. This version feels a little off, almost strained in some sections, and just... does not flow well with the scene itself.

Of course, I may partially be biased due to having seen the English version first.

But I deeply love this one, as well.

  • @Luthmann1 This is FFX-2! I've played FFX before and it doesn't have this cutscene in it, which is how I know that this isn't from that game.

  • You do know this is FFX and not FFX-2

  • Someone should try mixing the Japanese version and the English full version together into some sort of duet with the two. That would sound so cool!

  • I like the Japanese video the best, but I do like the english one too. I like the english version Koda Kumi did too.

  • japanese version is better quality x

  • love it!!!

  • I like the English video better because it has them both singing together instead of separately but I do like this version of the song better

  • 2:20 - 2:25 in the english version it was lenne singing that lol L=

  • Actually the English one has all this and more...

  • for an animated person ...yuna is a bonny girl....i prefer the english version the japanese has got the pitch rong for it...

it need higher vocals but still...this scene is a spectacular scene from ffx2...love it so much...

@galonski64 ...that guys name is shuyin...

  • I like the part before there shot. The guy(forget name) looks into Lenne eyes, and she looked down for a moment, like she was considering if it was the right choice and when she smiled at him, it like she cared for nothing but him, even if there about to be shot, it how i see it, and it such a good scene.

  • and when they were shot, at the end, you can see Lenne's lips move, she was saying "I love you" and then they died.

a really sad and good scene especially if you watch the full scene.

  • Ich liebe dieses Lied besonders in dieser Fassung. Kommt im Spiel leider nicht so rüber oder ich habe es verpasst. Die Qualität ist auch Top. Danke.

  • can any1 tell me whats the ending of final fantasy x-2????????????

  • the english version is good, but this definetly has more emotion which makes this amazing :)

  • i have to cry if hear this song in japanse.

    It's beautiful

  • this song always makes me want to cry.. no matter what language it's sung in ;3;

  • i liked the video better in the english version but i felt there to be more emotion in the japanese version..... i like both !

  • o.0......i never thought i'd say this but, I like the english version better.

  • This is awesome.. but where's it different from the English version??

  • i like this song but whin leene is sining it also souns like yuna i just dont really get the japunese part becuse its kind of weird becuse tucech part i dont get it at all becuse yuna is kinda creepy and is diffrent by rikku and pian

  • where did it change?

  • Same here. :]

  • i still dont get it.........why did it change 1000 words on the english version?

  • i like both the versions but in the other version you hear two voices together if lenne and yuna sing together but here you just hear 1 voice

  • The original just switches between the two, with a constant voice its hard to tell who sings and who isn't. Comaparing the Japanese version and the Western version they both have their ups and downs to this song.

  • I understand the reason why the took out the parts of the song but I really like the scenes it has. Though I disagree on some parts. I actually like how they added in Lennes voice and not just kept it as Yuna's voice. Also Jade the singer for the Western Version I disagree because I think there is emotion in it. I like that part of the western version which they don't have in the Japanese where Yuna and Lenne singing side by side at the end.

  • In case you still don't know this in the japanese version the one who did the singing for Yuna did the both speaking and singing for Lenne so it's pointless in the japanese version to have the part where they sing together.

  • Oh, okay.

  • That wasn't the reason that it changed! Infact in the English version Jade sung for both Yuna and Lenne, so your reason makes no sense.

The actual reason is that Square said that the English version didn't fit with the lip sync in the scene, so that they had to remake it to make the words fit the lips.

  • They didn't even have to replace the scene they just wanted it to sell better. They left the Japanese song in Final Fantasy X and they should've left it in X-2 as well. Mind you I really hate Final Fantasy X b/c of the sphere grid but the english versions of the songs in X-2 that just wasn't necessary. I personally believe Koda Kumi wins as this is origially her song and she did an extremely great live performance of the original a few years ago that still hasn't left my mind.

  • There was no need to replace the scene itself so they had to also replace the flow of the words. They should've just left the original scene Lenne doesn't get much singing either way at-least the JPN one didn't have her share the parts she got with Yuna.

  • I like it being in English Jade has a lovely voice and did a good job on it, plus it's great to understand the lyrics :)

  • That's what translations are for. I don't think Jade's voice is that great personally.

  • Not quite the same as having it in the game though. Oo It's easiar to connect to Lenne's feeling through the song if it is in a language you understand.

As much as I love the Japanese version, I think it would be odd to have it in the English game. Since they are actually singing it.

And now Yuna will sing in a different language! Oo Yuna's are nifty like that she knows three languages!

  • I have to laugh at that "Yuna's nifty like that she knows three languages!" I don't mind the english version much though I don't think Jade has nearly as much singing talent as Kumi. I just hate hearing her say the word "holyness" it sounds like she's saying something else when she sings that.

  • Seriously though, habbo how hard would it be to incode an actual translation into the original video clip? They didn't have to re-record the songs.

  • Yeah they gave themselves a lot more work. They could've just put in subtitles.

  • Lol Japanese names are pretty cool, Kumi :-)

  • Yep. It's sad for me to know that this and Real Emotion are the only songs I like by Koda Kumi.

  • @Sassyrecombinantpass You mean like how I heard it as "holidays"? Really, Yuna said holiness? I really thought I heard holidays.

  • does any1 no were i can download the jappanese version of 1000 words???

    !!!i need it!!!

  • the reason why they deleted some

parts when releasing it to the rest of the world

is they tought some parts would be weird for the

    rest of the world.

i hate it when theyre wrong

and they are wrong many times

  • This song is so much better in Japanese!!!

  • i guess its because Koda Kumi is a great japanese singer :P

  • Strange that parts were changed for the Western release. Why take out Lenne singing?

The song is ALOT more bareable in Japanese, the singer actually has emotion and sounds like she cares, while the American crap sounds terrible in comparison.

  • XD DUDE Both versions were well done!!
