The fish is probably a practical joke on us because it doesn't have any meaning lol. Or the fish could be symbolic of the guy singing and he fills trapped and the water is getting lower in the bowl as he gets more desperate to solve his dilemma. Then it rains at the end, filling the fish bowl as he comes to a resolution about his problem (I would have to listen to the ending again to see if thats what happens).

@ghpound1 Maybe the fish is a symbol? Fish never sleep you see, so he feels a bit like a fish, he can rest for a moment but never fall asleep. And that fish in the video is in a bowl, and I think it is because he also feels locked up in a terrible place ( personally I think his mind--> a bowl full of clear water--> thoughts) and he can't escape from it 'cuze he can't get out (because he is a fish)
