Whatever happened to Disney finding REAL talented people? Usually chipmunk voices sound better fast than in the original speed, but these guys were REALLY GOOD!! And this is when Disney didn't have the money to be choosy about their talent!

I quick IMDB search will show that it is hardly the case. again with the video being slowed down, the pitch of the video is going to go down too. I believe the actual voices were just pitched raised from the original voice to get the chipmunk like effect. They did the same thing in the chipmunk movies.

Ahh, "My Destiny" by Billy Eckstine, one of my faves!

Song #2 is "Little Girl" by "Whispering" Jack Smith, one of the original crooners from the 20's.

Both were great artists of their time. Chip, Dale and Clarice did a great job on these songs. And yeah, these voices are still a little high pitched, but fairly close.

Yes if the pitch is still off by any margin then it's definitely on the high side, but I spent quite some time deciding on this speed and anything lower would sound slowed down. Also, it is the same pitch shift I have used for all other real voices clips so it seems like the standard Disney used.

Bah, she says about nothing, maybe one line, so it's not worth it.

To get the sound for your mp3 player, download the video using some kind of site or Firefox add-on (just search Google for "get youtube video"). Then use eRightsoft SUPER(C) to extract the audio to mp3 format. Other programs than SUPER might do the trick also, but SUPER does all kinds of conversions and is generally awesome.
