  • Dude...you never sent the EQ curves to the Imprint module. You can store up to two curves. You accomplished nothing. Also, you are not supposed to be in the car.

  • So can i run this without an external amp?

  • You left a whole bunch of info out. You also don't sit in car when measuring.

  • Starchaser - Jambe Myth 7:30! nice song! :)

  • IDA-X305s IS WHERE IT'S AT!!!!

  • Isnt it easier to buy a kenwood? Audio tuning settings r all build in into the radio.Alpine suckz since u need so xtra parts to put a 700$ radio that will end up costing over 1500

  • Great video dude...

  • Continued.... I've spoken with alpine tech and 3 different techs have said I have installed everything correct. I'm using a windows xp PC and yes it seems to be tricky to get it working. Have also uninstalled and reinstalled it. Switches on th CDA-117 are all flipped to ext. Im baffled, I'm using the harness to retain use of the factory Infiniti amps and speakers. It's got to be the software or that harness. Anyone have any info on this? Thanks

  • Anyone know if the pxa-h100 has issues with metra harnesses. Everything is working and sounds fine until I start the imprint process. All speakers work during the process but when it's done it leaves the rear left speaker out of the end results and it doesn't work. I've exchanged the pxa and still got the same result...continued

  • I have the same unit as the one in the demo install (x305s), does anyone know if the imprint needs its own 12v feed or can you tap off the one to the H/U?

  • thanks for your help , so i just need to buy the pxa-h800 and the RUX-C800., is Controller With Display For PXA-H800 Processor , so if i just buy the pxa-h800 processor only without the RUX-C800? use the ina-w910 can control with display for pxa-h800 ? please let me know asap >>>>>>>>>>>>>>thks

  • @agmunyee I would suggest checking alpines website, maybe calling their tech and sales people. Read up on it. That's what I did with my rig. The alpine guys are very helpful. Research always helps with this kinda stuff. Here's Alpines number (800) 257-4631 good luck

  • cccccccccv

  • ha dude looks so geeked at the end. i want his job so bad

  • looks like you are using win7 to run the Imprint software? I thought it only worked with XP, did you do anything special to the PC to get it to run properly?

  • How many time does it take for each measure point ?

  • I was always skeptical of this shit but then I bought an Onkyo home theatre receiver that came with an Audyssy mic and it made the sound go from great to pretty much flawless and it didn't sound artificial at all. Definitely going to install an imprint system when I get my next car.

  • dude ur a mix between stephen dorff with johnny bravos hair, except you have brown hair lol

  • Why the fuck doesn't alpine just include an parametric EQ with the base receiver?!?!?!?

The basic bass / treble controls suck ass and paying an extra $150 to fix it is a load of crap.

Guess they can't see the forest for the trees...

  • @ManuelHung I totally agree... I think thats why the cda-117 has a built in parametric and time correction.. i just dropped $150 on imprint just to compensate for crappy 'bass and treble' settings on my 9886

  • your instructions are so very true and correct, my imprint sounds great just like the computer set it up to be. all the eq curves were exactly like you show here. thanks oh by the way like that part when you said "SHUT THE FUCK UP IM TRYING TO DO SOMETHING HERE!!"

  • Hey do you know how to program a KCE-400BT on a CDA-117? I know its compatible, hooking it up is no problem but I just can´t get it to work. My cell phone recognices it on the equipment's list but it just won't make the bluetooth conection. Please if you or somebody help me!!!

  • Morons, I hope this wasn't the actual test and tune for the customer. You're supposed to have the doors closed while it's running the audio check.

Amateur idiots. That's why so many people hesitate to go to stereo shops now a days. There's no more pros left in this business.

  • @PersjScholar you're the fuckin jack ass here. you can obviously see the sound check happens with all 4 doors shut. and he opened the doors to hit next on the laptop and shut it again in between steps. you're a tool. you obviously havent heard of soundman before. the're on of the most well known hi end shops on the web. you're the only amateur on this page. stupid ass cock sucker NOOB.

  • @johnsonwacker OK IDIOT, FROM 4:30 ON, he has the laptop in the back, behind the driver seat, he's obviously outside of the car, with the door open!!!

PAY CLOSER ATTENTION TO THE VIDEO!!!!

Heard of this dude?? Never. Noob!?!?!?! I've been rocking the IASCA scene since the mid 90's. What kind of experience do you have!?!?!

Who the hell runs equipment like that under the driver side dash where ALL THE ELECTRICAL CURRENT AND INTERFERENCE ARE AT!?!?!?!? Call me a NOOB!?!?!?!? Common sense!!

    I

  • @PersjScholar dude, there's power running all thru the circuit board, what kind of interference are you going to get? There was no imprint in the mid 90's bro. and if you can't tel that he's cutting the camera to move the mic and shut the doors then you're just a dumb ass. you can even see the end result on the laptop. maybe youre not a noob, but you're obsolete. mid 90's pffffftttttt what a joke. you're probably sellin blackberry cases at the mall now.

  • @johnsonwacker OMG...You're to stupid for words bro. What kind of interference?? I'll leave that one up to you since you're so into the net and all knowing. Obsolete? I'm ahead of the technology, junior. Blackberry cases?? I wouldn't jump in on your industry if you sucked me.

At 4:45 you can hear all the outside noise and even see him moving, as hes on the outside of the car as the test tone is playing. Pay closer attention to the video!!!!!! U must have A.D.D. if u can't hear the ect. noise.

  • lol i wouldn't want to be paying for this guys workmanship. He didnt even do anything to the sound, as he didnt "Send Filter" IT EVEN STATES WHAT TO DO BELOW THE GRAPHS!!!

  • Do you need to have the Alpine PXA-H100 IMPRINT Audio Processor for this system?

  • "Will you shut the fuck up?! I'm trying to do somethin'! yeah, Its on the microwave." Made my day

  • I have a Iva-w505 hu Spx17pros in all four doors. My amps are pdx-f4 and a pdx-m6 Subs are 3 jl audio 10w0 v2 In a 06 z71 crew cab. Will the imprint help me???

  • Great VIDEO! thanks for sharing. I just go the ALPINE INA-W900...do you know if it's compatible... ? i'm ready to upgrade!

  • @NYinSD yes it is

  • You really should have thew windows closed when you measure your curves. Any outside noise can sway your curves and mess with your time signature.

  • does the imprint module HAVE to stay in the car?

  • 30 seconds to mars is playing in the background!!!

  • Nice review/overview. But don't you have to send the actual filter to the unit before it get's active? It sounds like a logical step to take.

Also was laughing my ass of at 5:30. "Will you guys shut the fuck up? I'm trying to do something!". You made my day :D

  • @Werner2685 Yup. He measured the system response but changed nothing by neglecting to 'Send Filter'.

  • That IDA head only has 2volt a sig.

  • @Kikinahm Correct. The PXA-H100 boosts the line-level outputs to 4V.

  • Love your videos man! I have a CDA-9886 and a 12" typeX with pdx-1.1000 in my F150. Once I get some speakers and a 4 channel amp I'm going to use IMPRINT to complete my system. So excited!

  • sweet vid been curious about the alpine imprint what it was and what it did

  • Great tutorial bro!

    LOL at 5:30

  • what if i have a alpine deck a external crossover eq and 3 door speaker and 2 sub amps how does that chain go

  • you're suppose to put it on the seat not on the tripod ? does it make any difference ?

  • LMFAO @ 5:30

  • WHO THE HELL REPLACES A OEM BENTLEY RADIO !!!!!!

  • @4jiggy1 people who want decent SQ from thier systems? factory systems are junk.

  • haha beginning is CLASS IN A GLASS MATE!

  • How much does Imprint affect the sound output?

Ive heard that it makes the system a lot quieter.

  • @BlackHondaCivicHatch it balences out the system so it sounds better.

  • @MagicalMrSkylar

    I understand that...

Im asking if it reduces the sound output.

  • @BlackHondaCivicHatch it depends! if your car and speakers are really harsh on certain frequencies, it will turn them down, it will make the sound curve more linear. it MAY reduce the sound output, but it will sound better and crisper.

  • do you think that sitting in the car while calibrating altered the final result?

  • I have an alpine headunit that accepts the inprint my front speakers are running on a 2 channel amp my back speakers are running from the headunit and my 2 subs are running from a seperate amp. considering some of my speakers are still running from the headunit would the imprint work ?

  • oh love the imprint :)

  • nice!

  • beamer benz or bently
