I lived in california and I was a member with Bank of Amercia and I had this happen to me too! I have paid about 600-800 bucks in over draft fees.

I really thought I was the only one who had this problem and that somehow I was just REALLY poor in managaing my money but the truth is that it's a scam run by the banks who pray on young people like myself and this lady in the video.

I think going to small claims court is the way to go...... Then change banks..

Credit Unions have overdraft fees just as Corporate banks do. I cash my check from the bank it's drawn on. I have to drive 30min each way to cash it, then I deposit only money that I pay bills with into my bank account. All the rest is cash in my wallet as the wallet was designed for in the first place.

Call BOA now and ask to cancel overdraft protection....I just did myself!

Call Senator Chris Dodd and show your support for his bill that will stop this shit from happening. He will limit the amount of Overdraft fees to 1 per month, 6 per year. Overdraft fees must be proportionate to the cost of processing an overdraft charge. His number is 202-224-2823. Call and show your support. Google Chris Dodd's overdraft legislation for more information. Pass this message on...post it wherever you can.

I feel for the girl Logan in this video.

You could tell that she was making an honest and concerted attempt to be responsible with her debit card and STILL the bank was trying to gouge her for every penney she had (and didn't have)

She seems sincerely afraid to use a banking account now and it's sad banks have changed so much....

I couldn't imagine being a student and going through what she did...

Switch to bank that doesn't do it? Impossible. All banks do, some smaller amounts but none at all. Keep it under the mattress and use money orders.

Dirty trick bankers. Stop paying and File bankruptcy folks. It's still legal. And stop using banks who have a license to steal money and use credit unions instead they don't steal your money.
