  • You had me at children playing.

  • Good work. I hope they are blended nicely tho, cause if not, the default npc voices wouldn't be understandable with all that noise :P

  • Looking forward to this, I use all the others and am very satisfied. Recommend all and try them out!

  • Wow!! This adds so much to the game it's incredible. I'm tempted to put my playing of Skyrim on hold until all these packs are released. Seriously.

  • wow really epic mod I can't wait for the release

  • Can't help but think these sounds would fit better if there lived more than 20 people in each town...

Great mod, though. Downloading as fast as I can!

  • I'm in no way criticizing your work -- I absolutely LOVE this mod, but the civilization part just doesn't fit in with the game. There aren't enough people... I mean, a tavern with 3 or 4 people and it sounds like The Prancing Pony. Ghost party? Haha.

  • @PennyRoyal369

there are a few mods that increase the number of npcs in towns similar to how they did in fallout

  • AmAzing work. I can't thank all those involved in the development of this mod enough. You're simply making Skyrim one of the most immersive games I've ever played.

  • I have Skyrim on the 360. Bethesda should thank you, cause these fantastic mods have motivated me to buy another copy for PC.

I appreciate not only the work you did to compile these sounds, but it takes a certain talent to be able to sit back and identify the kinds of sounds that would enhance the game.

  • I think many of the sounds sound amazing, but mainly the taverns and the yellign in towns is just awful, the yelling is way too echo-y and sounds kind of stupid, whilst the taverns just never haev enough people in them to produce so much noise. you should release a version without these sounds. In the mean time i guess ill try messing around in the files and deletign them

  • @MeTheLittleBird I agree, since there's about 5-10 people in one tavern, hearing like 25 people at the same time is a bit too much, lol.

  • love your work cant wait for this mod

  • The Taverns!!! They's HAUNTED!!!

  • This is just incredible. you've done an incredible job doing all these sounds.

    +1 and subscribed.

  • i love your mods i cant wait for this town mod ^^

  • I like it, but noticed some problems. Take the tavern sounds, for example. You hear way too many people in Candlehearth Hall when there were less than six people in the place during the video. The most I've seen in the building has been around 10, but usually its less than that. Cat fights don't make sense being that Skyrim doesn't have any small felines. Windhelm doesn't have any children running around in the streets.

  • i only have one problem with this Mod... The people of Skyrim don't have English accents, they are predominantly Germanic etc...

  • Yeah, the town shouting are definitely from Shadows of Amn. You can stand around Amn in some sections and hear that ambiance.

I don't think anyone will mind it being used, let alone Bioware. Its not like its a piece of music. I'd love to hear it wandering around the cities.

  • Headsup:

Sounds of Skyrim - The Wilds has been released. You can grab it on Steam Workshop, Skyrim Nexus and TES Alliance. (Links in description) Give me any feedback you have about it, and thank you very much for supporting Sounds of Skyrim!

  • I love the extra sounds, but I'm not too crazy about the cockney accents in the ton shouts.... You should find Finnish accents. Most people in Skyrim are Nords afterall.

  • @Parrothead71988 They're probably more Danish than Finnish.

  • ...I love that you used the Shadows of Amn ambiance shouts for the town shouts. Perfection!

  • The problem with that is that it feels exagerated, because cities are not really big in Skyrim.

  • Awesome and more awesome . best sound mod ever

  • I hope there will be a mod to add more NPCs to the cities to make this feel more real

  • *Snorebonus* :D

  • I don't have words for that what have you done! That's awesome!!!

  • i dont heard all that sound in the folder i get i only have rain for wilds and civilisation i only have soundfrominside

  • weather sounds from the inside is so cozy and makes me feel so sleepy xD

i'll probably subscribe to this via the workshop

  • I wanted to say good job, but that isn't enuff, awesome? Fantastic? OMGWTF? Sry I can't find a word to express how good this is :l

  • Damn, I remember this for Oblivion. Best mod I ever installed. EVER.

  • 0:56 Khajit get raped

  • OMFG I JIZZZZZZ everywhere with this mod

  • This looks awesome but I can't help but wonder if the Tavern FX makes the places sound far too busy for the amount of NPC's actually there?

  • Comment removed

  • Well now a mod is needed that adds a few filler NPCs to places were theres not too many people around for this AWESOME mod to make sense

  • Whaww ! can't wait for this one ! °u°

  • man...these distant talking voices so much reminds me of Baldur's Gate. Awesome.

  • @red41411

I thought the exact same thing

  • Bethesda.... HIRE THIS MAN!

  • Can I get a download link for the intro music? I think it's the Daggerfall "snow" theme remade, but I can't find it.

  • Fantastic. But would be better if it didn't sound like there was 5000 people, when it really is like 10

  • One of the biggest and best mods I've seen yet. My issue will be the spooky sounds of caves and crypts, which are scary enough for me. I'll surely get it some time, but I don't know when because it'll take some getting used to.

  • it would be funny if that tavern sound was playing when nobody was in it besides the clerk.

  • Just bought a turtle beach headset. THIS IS GONNA BE SEX!

  • Sounds GREAT! Out of curiosity, what kind of graphical mods are you using? Or are you playing on max settings?

  • These sounds sometimes sound like they are from the Baldur's Gate series... and that had an awesome atmopshere, made the towns come alive. Good work.

  • The taverns sound a little too busy, other than that this project is brilliant.

  • where can i get this ??? please answer ( i have dungeons one already)

  • It's a great mod, and I'm gonna use the Dungeons one for sure BUT... There is a lot of people (including me) that are using their local language in game (Polish in my case) and it would sound a bit weird if I heard some english voices in the background. maybe you could release an universal version of this mod without the voices that can actually be understood? Or maybe it works this way already and what I heard was the original voices from the game?

  • 2:38 "Mi folyik ott"??!! :D

  • WOW :)

  • This is awesome. I subscribed on the workshop once I saw it. But there's one tavern in Winterhold or Morthal that has no people in it cause of bad business. Is there a way to remove the sounds for that tavern?

  • @peber13

Yes taverns that have rarely NPCs in them won't have the sound additions. This also includes most wilderness taverns.

  • Aren't you worried that using sounds from old Bioware games, you're putting your mod in a precarious place, legally?

  • @bjmensz

Someone did recently let me know that the town shouts come from one of Bioware's RPGs. (I do not remember hearing them in the Baldur's Gate saga, might be from Neverwinter Nights which I haven't played).

I took those shouts from a Morrowind sound project that was released years ago and they were not credited.

So this said, I'll re-record those with voices from the community.

  • @VEProductions im a neverwinter nights fan, and the shouts arnt from it :P but epic mod

  • @bjmensz Can individual sound effects be copyrighted or infringed upon really? I've never heard that and films seem to recycle sound effects all the time, like the famous Wilhelm scream.

  • So is this or will it be up on either Steam or SkyrimNexus?

  • @Oblivionbolt1

The Dungeons is currently up on the Nexus and on Steam Workshop. I think links can't be posted in comments. So you can do a search for "Sounds of Skyrim" on both sites.

  • @VEProductions thanks got it.

  • @VEProductions any idea when these awsome mods will be released? :)

  • WOW i love it

  • wow i really love it:D i hope it is coming soon i cant wait

  • Haha, I know where those distant shouts come from near the start, but I won't say :)

  • @DiddenEsq

    I'm pretty sure I know too ;)

  • I can guarantee that somewhere a dev is facepalming for not thinking of this. ;)

  • Interesting. I'll definitely try that, and as someone said, can't wait to try this with a "More NPC" mod !

  • AMAZING, keep working on it please :)

  • Extremely great work. This + hypothetical "More People In Towns and homes" MOD = ZOMG.

  • Dont really like the shouting and voice SFXs, since they make the town and tavern sound a little too busy imo.. I love the weather SFXs though.

  • This will be great, I will definitely get it, but I kind of think the sounds in the taverns make it seem a bit too crowded, as taverns mostly aren't that full of people and it can be a fake, I guess.

    But overall, good job!

  • @MeTheLittleBird Taverns will not sound as busy in the game. For the purpose of showing the variety of sound effects that are added in the taverns, I made them all play one after the other. In addition, one tavern sound gets played every 15-30 seconds.

  • @VEProductions Okay, then it's even greater :)

  • @MeTheLittleBird The easy fix is creating a simple population increase mod to taverns.

  • @TimeGlitchCentral I know. Just saying
