Yeah I love Boeing too!!! (High Five) Especially the 777 family and 787. OMG i just want to get on those 787s i wonder when its first flight is. it's taking to long. =(
But you could also see it from the point that since gas will continue to be high, the large volume planes will be the only ones to be cost effective. Our "hub and spoke" system will become just the "hub" system.
Great opportunity to see it up close, though. A true engineering marvel.
all you heard was jet noise do you honestly think it would have been the one near the crowd there are 4 you could see blades turning slowly on that engine nowhere near powering up
That's a silly thing to say... please search YouTube for 'Rolls-Royce Trent 900 Bird Ingestion Test' and 'A380 Blade Off Test' to see why an engine would not explode following the ingestion of a Foreign Object.
WWOW indeed.

Awsome getting so close to such a wonderful airplane
mistabig3 3 years ago 2
That was cool how close you got to the plane.
It's deceptive the way it looks like you could reach up and touch the underside of the wing.
JasonB1969 3 years ago 4
Now that was COOL!

That's very close

yikes i you would have jumped u could of grabbed the wing
mryandao54 3 years ago
u could if u can jump 50 feet in the air the camera angle makes it look closer than it is.
MarkWilliams212 3 years ago
yeah maybe but 50 feet :/

WOW...If the engines were on bit more they could have all died..wat a rush
skaazo 3 years ago
The engines were not "on" at all, and it wasn't "marshalled", it has been towed.
Even if impressive, not dangerous at all.
AirplanetvCOM 3 years ago
it's not taxiing it's being towed by a tug, engines probably arn't even running properly
diddyo 3 years ago
if the engines run there, something, or someone might get sucked into it!
wenjie639 3 years ago
wrong, the engines are not spooling, and are idle, thus not producing any thrust and thereforce won't be sucking in air...
diddyo 3 years ago
I'm not sure if this was the Sat or Sun, but if it was the Sunday I must have been standing about 6ft from you.

Yes it was the Sunday - check my other vid for the departure, and all the dust!

No way would I ever get that close to an Airbus A380's engine without being paid alot of money and given alot of valium. I dont think man should fly.

Good point!
I think if you maximize the space and seats, it'll have a fair "cost per seat."
However, airliners like Singapore or Emirates are going with more leg-room and personal space which is ruining what's really good about the A380s.
ken92660 3 years ago
i think he means how he powered up the engine as he was heading on top of crowd which thats amazing

ianloughridge 4 years ago
agreed the chances are the engine will shut down, yes it will be destroyed, but not in the sence it will explode.
Even at start up speed the blades sheering off will do very little damage at all, considering they can contain a blade sheering off at full throttle
vectorm1299 4 years ago
it wasn't taxiing, it was being towed, i only watched this video to see it taxi close, not get towed close lame!
jetmech24 4 years ago
Hmmm...I wonder if the pilot accidentally switch the engine on full-throttle, all the people will get SUCKED-UP into the engine...Hahahaha~
