One thing Kenyans do not understand is that the Military has to act on orders from their C-in-C to raid a neighbouring country or even to simply deploy outside the barracks. If the president is ineffective, the military becomes useless; if the prezzo's effective, the military becomes your worst nightmare. BLAME THE PRESIDENT NOT THE ARMY! As appealing as the idea sounds i assure you it is not a viable option in the long run. The west Africans waste no time, agreed, but look at how messy their countries are. When you discover the shortcut of coups you stop being patient. a simple matter that can be resolved peacefully will now necessitate a coup. carefull what you wish for.

The defence council recomended Kenya quell the Al-shabab fever once and for all. A "Zulu" alert was issued. Soldiers were deployed to the border, tanks, APC's and all. The Navy and Air Force were put on standby. Morale was high, Kenya would be kicking al-shabab's ass. Then suddenly some politician realised for him to be president in 2012, he'd need the Somali votes! The army was recalled back to the barracks, now who would you blame in that case?

He can't even act on advise from the supreme intelligence organ in Kenya the N.S.I.S what makes you think he'll listen to Generals saying Turkana, Pokot, Moyale, Wajir, Kiunga is under threat?
