How to get iSight camera working on windows live messenger using parallels desktop

HI, thank you for your help with that, now I have another problem, I installed window xp using bootcamp, and then I install parallels, when i am using MSN in window xp, using parallels - window xp, msn microphone not work. but when i use bootcamp for window xp, microphone works. can you help me out, thank you

@minting22 I havent seen this problem yet but I think bootcamp may be the problem. I think somehow bootcamp may be interfering with your parallels desktop. Also if you don't think thats the problem try looking around in the isight files on parallels and see if there is any microphone setting. Hope that helps

So, I have windows 7 and i have a new mac. I followed everything, until clicking the isightinstaller it says i need to install the 64bit version of DPinst.

@whip383 I think I had the same thing happen to me at first. I dont really remember what I did but I think I restarted windows up again and tried turning on the camera again. Hope that helps.

@ku42 if you are running parallels desktop with the camera working on windows i think you would have to disable the camera on windows or just quit out parallels desktop.

hey how could u be running mac and windows at the sametime i see that u just click and then the windows pop up and im trying that shift + control right click but it isnt working for me im on windows 7 macbook

I am running a software called Parallels Desktop for mac and it allows you to use both side by side at the same time. Some other softwares only let you use windows alone and not running along with mac. You should check it out and see if your software lets you run both at once.
