  • BLUE MAN!!! OMG!!

  • Don't listen to meathead, I mean meattube. He bashes the Prius with these claims but when asked to prove his B.S., he folds like a house of cards.

I have a 2010 Prius and I recommend it if you want great mpg and don't need a sports car.

  • inner office documents at toyota proved that toyota knew they had a deadly problem and that toyota intentionally avoided recalls to save money, now toyots says they are sorry, toyota is sorry, sorry they got caught.

  • Reminds me of Gran Turismo. the song that is.

  • TDI FTW

  • thats a corrola front end and yaris interior

  • i saw them in concert! it was so cool!

  • great car and jazzy music! WHOO!

  • Rock on SafeInBed:

Merc65 drops retro brain farts wherever he sees a Prius or electric car. It is this exact attitude that led us to the brink of economic collapse. "Don't say no to YESterday" has been the prevailing rally-call in Washington since the Bush Regime started their steal the treasury program. Merc and the rest of the fake patriots believe in open markets until somebody else is besting us. This Prius is 25 years ahead of GM. When you fear change, you become part of history.

  • That it's a good car ilike it

  • 390merc65 you gotta be kidding! The only thing to come out of Detroit over the past 35 years is same-old same-old. Their models lack the latest technologies and their manufacturing is shoddy. Japan/Korea are kicking Detroit's ass due to the pompous attitude Detroit copped back in the 70's. TESLA is the only USA based bright spot for car manufacturing. Detroit is still using 100 year old tech and we ALL see where that got them...FAT, DUMB and BANKRUPT. Heck of a job GM, FORD & Chrysler...NOT!!!

  • i hope this isnt the future of cars to come...dam that thing is ugly....i hope detroit doesnt pick up on making ugly cars like this .....good thing there is still plenty of older american cars still out there to pick from and not have to lower your standards and swallow your pride and drive one of these tiny little shit cars

  • Sorry to inform u that Toyota took over GM, and GM bankrupt.

  • tell me something i dont know?...it sucks for GM but i am a ford guy.....and i will never buy, or support anything from toyota ..or honda ..TOYota sucks ass

  • blah, support ur ford then. but even ur ford makes tiny little cars too

  • To add some more (this is from Top Gear) they did a track test with a BMW M3 and a prius. The prius would drive around the track as fast as it could while the M3 just had to keep up the result the M3 got a rating of about 5mpg MORE then the prius because it's not the car that matters most but your driving style. The M3 has a 400hp engine and so doesn't need to rev up that much to keep up with the prius. You wanna save the planet buy a manual car and buy anything but a prius it's a scam FACT

  • I thought a Prius, was made for people with a light foot, and usually have to be stuck in traffic quite alot?

  • i dont care what the d3 do toytoa and honda are years ahead of them in tech.

  • Quit dissing the big three you fucken tree huggers!! If you have any questions reply back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • all im saying is the d3 cant compete with this anytime soon. im not gonna lie toyotas are as boring as they come but they are great cars.

  • the hybrid fusion is the most fuel efficient sedan on the market

  • but the fusion starts 27,000 by the time you get out the door thats 30,00 easy. you can get a fully loaded prius which includes navagation for that much. hell you can leave the lot with a prius for under 25,00 easy.

  • and I'd STILL would rather have the extra room and the better looking car for a little more

  • I agree, this ad is bad.

    But the car is good.

  • i actaully like it, toyota yet again has done it

  • This car is a MUST HAVE. I own a 2008 Prius & just returned from a 5-day, 800+ mile trip & avg 48.1 mpg. And that was at a highway speed of 70-72 mph. It had more than enough power, comfort & fuel economy. And to think the 2010 is touted to be better yet. AWESOME !

  • GM needs to make a car exactly like the Prius with similar or better MPG/specifications and the exact competitive price.

  • That's right. While the Volt is a great concept, American cars being more expensive to build, the Volt is doomed before it gets built.

I hear it is going to cost $35,000 to $40,000. That's crazy. No one is going to pay that for a "Chevy."

They need to make low-priced hybrids like this if they are going to survive.

They should do what Honda did, make a car that looks like the Prius (2009-2010 Insight) and sell it for less than Toyota sells the Prius.

  • You and nismo2323 are tree huggers!!!!!

  • If only that exterior design was better. That design is so hideous. And also whats up with no plug in and no lipo battery upgrades, I am expecting these to primary upgrades. Other than that it is just a new uglier body design on the same old prius.

  • I know really they should come up with a better design.

  • what! no way its way better! alot of people will agree with me. you just cant see what i see

  • Actually my mistake, yes it is a much better design than previos but I said not good enough.

  • Any car designed to get the best mileage possible has to provide the least drag.

Least drag means designs similar to what you see here. The Prius body gets three to five more mpg than a conventional design.

I have a MINI Cooper convertible. It gets 30 MPG. But when gas prices rise to $4.00 to $5.00 per gallon, I am going to get a Prius.

I don't want to pay $200 more a month to look stylish in a conventional car, like my previous cars (Mercedes, BMW, Audi, etc.)

  • Are you a tree hugger!!!!

  • gosh this ad is horrible. HORRIBLE.

  • i was thinking of buying corolla or prius....but they're to expensive for such a shit powered car

  • why would u call it shit . theirs no other car that gives u good mpg . unless u like the smart but i think u gonna have to cut ur legs off to drive . the new volt car cost too much 45k plus tax i might as well get a bmw

  • um, if your thinking of buying a car thats fast and looks FUCKIN aawesome buy a bmx or audi, dont buy a toyota for performance and beauty. people who buy priuses and corola actually care about saving money, and dont care to much about conspicuos consumption that much.

  • when I become a millionair ill buy a hummer and one of those for every day I live so I can crush it with my hummer every morning when I pull out

  • I will have to trade in my 2005 Prius for 2010, it's simply awesome!!

  • I have a 2007 Prius and live in New England, United States. It handles pretty well in the snow and has traction control

  • Can this car handle the Canadian winters?

Thats the only thing that worries me

  • Not very well. During the winter I used my Lexus RX 400h and it worked seamlessly. The Prius just doesn't have enough power.

  • I live in Calgary and I put studded winter tires and it was great all season for me.

  • Alright cool thanks

  • THANKS. BUT NO THANKS. LOUSY MPG IMPROVEMENT - I'LL WAIT FOR THE PLUG-IN ...

Mpg improvement - 50mpg - from 46mpg, or 8.6% better. The forecast was for 60 to 70 mpg; 90mpg in Japan.

THANKS for ignoring your base customers - those who saw AND believed WKTEC and want even more efficiency and mpg.

Did you totally space out on the plug-in movement that modified your own Prius, to get 100 to 150 mpg??? And you offer 50mpg. What an insult.

  • Here's the thing about that. I live in Canada and in 05 bought a Toyota Prius. The U.S EPA tests on that car ranked at about 46.5 mpg overall, while the Canadian tests ranked in at 71/69 mpg. Don't forget this is an 05 Prius. After driving it for a while a decided to test how far I could go on one tank of gas. It went the rate of 67 mpg. When I went to Toyota to get the car serviced I asked the question why the U.S version claims 46.5 mpg.

  • Extraordinary. But no hypermiling required?

  • The answer I got was: fuel efficiency tests in the U.S are corrupt based on the fact they have a much harsher test for hybrid cars. They do this to try and trick the public into sticking with their 25 mpg car and it's obviously working. Canada has such a strict policy on the EPA tests to make it fair all cars really show their true efficiency. DON'T BE FOOLED BY 50 MPG.

  • Thanks for that emmo9216.

I hope to be eating humble pie ... Will keep watching for March arrival and priuschat news of real world numbers.

Though in a perfect world there would be a US hybrid VW Eurovan ... made by Toyota. With a plug. :-).

  • emmo9216, did the person clarify what constitutes a 'much harsher test' for hybrid cars here in the U.S.? Would I be correct to assume that other hybrids--like the new Insight--might achieve a higher mpg rating per Canada's tests? If so, something smells rotten in Denmark (U.S.). And, 67 mpg in an '05 model Prius is amazing!

  • I just got a plug-in conversion done. I now get way over 100 MPG on my Prius.

  • Must Be Nice

  • hey, can you tell me how much it cost you?

and does it increase or decrease the battery life (since that usually takes affect on normal batteries)?

  • @emmo9216 its possible to get up to 100+ mpg with these my aunt has one she gets 100 mpg quite often.

  • @emmo9216 time to move to Canada!

  • good to know the 2010's will come with a sunroof, that's what I"ve been waiting for!

  • Nice car,i want one.I hope it would be cheaper than the previous model.

  • I hope so...... i doubt it lol

  • Yeah I don't think it will be cheaper.

Maybe same price if were lucky.

I wanna know what song this is in the video.
