Then they eventually found a family on-board. If you only saw the first 20 episodes I can see how you thought that. But more Jaffa died in a season of SG-1 and more Wraith died in a season of SGA. Than every death in the show so far. 14 deaths all up. Franklin, Spencer, Riley, 10 or so in faith who stayed behind, 5 dead in the S1 finale

It was the same reason why I started to hate Atlantis. Apart from the replicators and predictive storytelling. You knew they'd make it back in the end. It was the journey for me, rather than the destination. The Prometheus could have made it to Pegasus. So never really any danger there.
yes the reason why sgu was cancelled is because people watches on internet. Internet does not count as rating as there is no way they can track stolen videos online. Another reason is the company that bought Mgm studios, They dont want anything to do with sgu so they have it cancelled.
I support the return of SGU, but the chances of a show coming back after being cancelled is really slim to none. So, I suggest that the creators of SGU take the same route as Joss Whedon with Firefly and create a feature-length film to give us some conclusion to the stories.

SGU had a great plot and actors, but I miss the morals and the wholesome galactic exploration that was only in SG1.
I think the network realized that with all of the pre-marital sex, drinking, suicide and homosexuality it was just too far to stretch the Stargate franchise. It was just that simple. I hope they bring it back, but they need to clean up their act. My family was able to watch SG1 together but SGU went the "adults only" rout and we just couldn't watch it anymore.

I got tired of the Soap Opera argument a long time ago. Cant compare this show to those at all. I liked the older Stargates, but I was loosing patients with the usual overused jokes. SGU is different, you see the characters change with each episode. Its not the same old thing... Bring Back SGU!

I consider this Stargate to be top notch and its cancellation only reminds me of another 'horse' that died in its prime. I will name no names for it hurts to much to remember when it got cancelled.
