@Nicxe008 me too... you have to press something called DSC (Dinamic Stability Control) that is near the front cup holders.

If for some reason it dont work its cause you have a different version, in that case tell me and I tell you how to do it.

It's a good first car this, REALLY cheap now. I mean seriously for what you get, I know it's kind of old now but it's an alright car and with the price, ANYONE can get it. The burnout looks nicely done to me...starting at low revs, just a little jump forward prior to wheel spin (not too much brake), clutch is engaged almost immediately (not riding it)...I see no more wear than quick launching, stoplight drag racing, or anything else of the sorts would put on the clutch. Maybe you should stop doing burnouts, since it seems like YOU'VE blown a few clutches...that or you've never actually driven a manual......

The 1998 bmw 540i has always been my favorite bmw. I dont really like the new bmw's. I love the original bmw's because they have more of a muscle look to them. Now bmw's look like cute barby cars. Plus the older bmw are faster then some of the new ones. Some new bmw models have about 190hp to 250hp. The 1998 bmw 540i has 300 hp stock! The other day i drove a 2009 bmw 5 series and i compared it to my 1998 540i. There whas nothing special about the new bmw. I thought my 540i whas faster and better

This would depend on which model 5'er and wether it had the sport package. I have a 04 545i w/ sport package and 6 speed tranny. It is an awesome vehicle. The newer 5ers w/ sport package have active stabilizer bars that keep the body from any body roll. It is quite impressive when you can keep perfectly flat while taking an exit at 90 plus MPH.

The non-sport 5ers do not have the Active roll stability and therefore are nothing special.

I have a 1997 E39 540i, and I would never burn it out. I don't know about you but I can't afford to replace the gearbox or even the Pirelli P Zero tyres on it.

Very fast car and amazingly comfortable ride. Only thing I can complain about is theres a couple of dead pixels on my dash read out :(

yo its rear wheel so if it is automatic you go brake gas brake and it locks the front brakes and not the rear so there for enabling a burnout in an automatic
