why hate securom?? because you pirate games is it really fair to the developers?? If you're worried about the install limitation i believe EA released a program that reset the activation code so you can install it again whenever you want to.

Its not just that. Lots of other problems. Like a few months ago I bought The Witcher 2 only to find out that the retail versions of the game were using securom DRM and were running average of 30% slower than the steam/GOG version (my game ran at 30fps while it should be getting close to 60). Its when retail versions run worse than torrent versions that people start to pirate.

Using securom as a solution to DRM is a big fuck you to your loyal customers.

@drublefizz0014 well, with Steam you will have UNlimited installations. you can also go through a tedious process to remove securom from your computer, but that won't stop securom from being reinstalled every time you use the program. You could play the game until the end, and THEN remove securom, but to be honest STEAM is the easiest and best way. I don't support piracy when there IS a better way, which is steam.

well theres a way to get rid of it. an easy way, go to the command prompt and enter this code. just look up oblivion and the error message. this works! i did this for sims 2 when it said "could not write licence data!"

you should try to delete the files i did that when i bought sims 2. just go to google and type out the message. someone ought to have the solution. hope this helps ( sorry if this is late)
