  • Wow, on a ride from Grant to Far Rock, we pass an R38 A train after Rockaway Blvd and an R44 A train at Broad Channel, then see an R46 A train at Far Rockaway. And we're riding in an R32 A train. Only in our dreams will we see that kind of diversity in the NYC subway again.

  • @SportsFreakfrom94598 I don't know where you saw a R-46 in this vid b/c there wasn't one on the A @ that particular time I filmed this video!

  • WOW I grew up on Beach 47th Street ..Thanks for the ryde

  • Glad you enjoyed the video!

  • i was wondering if the neighborhood around mott avenue had any food restaurants because I am planning on taking a ride over there soon

  • All I know its there's a Golden Crust on the same block as the library!

  • Wooooow! I was born and rasied in Queens! I went from Edgemere Projects to Bayswater, to Arverne(69th st) to Jamaica Qns to Far Rockaway (Beach 9th).... Thanks for the ride back in time. Cool vid!

  • Thank you...glad you enjoyed the vid and I'm glad it brought you back memories!

  • beach 25th holla

  • Thanks and the R-160's are taking over certain lines, not all of them!

  • I took the A-Train to Far Rockaway when I was at NY last summer.

Here in Germany we have not as big subway networks as in NYC. In my city we just have about 18 tunnel stations. xD

I hope you can understand me^^.

  • Glad you enjoyed the ride on the A train and yes I can understand you :)!

  • oh wow i kno da 2 train goes far but i thought dat da 4 train was the second longest after da A train but now i know something lol lol... if u eva eva had da chance 2 record from Inwood all the way to FarRockaway dat wud be soo nice and interesting but i kno u wudnt do dat lol lol

  • The 4 train isn't that long. I already recorded along the Central Park West and 8th Avenue Lines.....all I have to do it record along the Fulton Street Line and from Inwood-207th Street to 145th Street and I'm done!

  • The reason is because that used to be part of the Far Rock'y and Rock'y Beach branches of the LIRR back in the day. After the wooden tresle in Jamaica Bay caught fire in 1950, the LIRR decided to sell the remaining part of the branch to the Transit Authority who took over and converted the lines for subway use from Rock'y Blvd and south. Just notice the "dead" abandoned tracks in the middle, the Rock'y Beach Branch had 4 tracks all the way up to Ozone Park. If only the LIRR hadn't given it up...

  • man i eh go lie and u showed it the A train goes maddd far!!! damn no wonder it is the longest one seated ride from Inwood to FarRocaway damn lol anywayz nice videos man i watch all da parts!!!!

  • LOL.....thanks for watching all 4 parts. Yes its the longest single seat ride from Inwood-207th Street to Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue followed by the 2 train from Wakefield-241st Street to Brooklyn College-Flatbush Avenue!

  • i live on beach 30str

  • Oh okay cool!

  • great video. very long with details

  • Thank you and I like my long details lol!

  • R-32/28!

  • About 3 blocks from it!

  • oh hey, check out he new track roadbed. Looks really great

    Awesome Video !

  • Thank you. You got good eyes....I was waiting for someone to point that out. You know whats funny that looks like the same roadbed they used to fix the tracks on the Long Island Rail Road b/w the Woodside and Jamaica stations either sometime this year or last year!
