I think the movie was unfair. All Dawkins actually said was that aliens could have come to Earth in space ships and created our DNA (back when we were monkeys) . He could be right. I just don't think it's fair to laugh at someone just because they think star trek is real. Those aliens probably made all the species - that would explain everything. I've heard about this more than once, but I can never shake the feeling that those that the scientists and atheists misrepresented in Expelled knew more about what the film was going to be than they let on. Either the producers sold their souls for the power of persuasion, or at least some of these guys went along with it knowing or at least suspecting that the film wasn't going to paint a fair picture.

It's also funny that Dawkins mentions the poor film making and public relations of the people who made the film, because I'm sure it wasn't intended for intellectuals or atheists. The film was probably perfect for it's intended audience, who didn't need much convincing in the first place, since they were fully indoctrinated creationists. Those types don't really care about actual science, as long as you're agreeing with they're beliefs.

Dumbass why doesnt Dawkins speak about his own poor performance in this movie. He actually admits that he thinks that aliens well could have created the earth. Such things weakens the atheist stand and is an embarrassement to all atheists. So Steins movie was actually successful, as he managed to seemingly undress all us atheists while he actually only undressed Dawkins, who all atheists must take distance from after this. He also says he's 99% sure there is no God which is not atheism.

If you read his book you would know that he is what he calls a "de facto" atheist. And the only reason he talks about aliens is that he's putting God and Aliens in the same category. Stein edited it to make him look like a nutter.

Dawkins calls himself a "de facto" atheist? Does that mean he doesn't exert much effort at it -or maybe he's not very fervent in his conviction. I've heard him say that there could be a God. He just gets upset when people worship God; He says that's wrong. And that's the reason for all his vitriol against Christians & Jews.
