You are really going to have to read Act Five for yourself, sadly. The trolls have really complex stories and EXTREMELY complex relationships. They have four types of relationships, actually, and they're a lot more complex than human romances, Hussie mentioned. But, yes, the Sufferer and the Disciple were Karkat and Nepeta's (the cat girl's) ancestors.

i love this video, and Eridan is quickly becoming my second favourite troll (sorry bud, can't replace Terezi) simply because he is a woobie who snapped and became a monster.
