i got stung by one of them in jamaica and it fuckin hurt! i dont remember a lot but he said i was shaking from the poison and i was screaming my spine and my knees hurt..
If you really did get stung by one then you're EXTREMELY lucky. Most people who get stung by the "Sea wasp" die within 4 minutes, and sometimes die before they even make it back to shore.
yeah i really did and thanks god i didnt, i wasnt out far deep but a hurricane was comeing so some jelly fish came in showlow water and i ran into a baby one.. i couldnt see it
Yes,that's a comb jelly. You can recognize it by it's cilindrical shape. The Sea Wasp doesn't live in the Red Sea, and you can recognize it by the Box shape of the belly and by the 60 (even 5 metres long) tentacles elonged from the box's corners.
Change the name of this video, it's a ctenophora

The really weird thing is
Their venom can either kill you, or make you horribly sick.
Yet.. if you wear Nylon, it can't harm you at all..
They are pretty interesting creatures though.

That's not a sea wasp, it's a ctenophore, or comb jelly, of some sort. Those don't sting thankfully
