this is almost exactly like the King of the Hill episode where Peggy smuggles cocaine in to that inmate that she thinks is a former student. this show is okay, but its mostly a watered-down, politically reversed KOTH clone with less likeable characters : /

I'm all for moderation in politics, and while I'm really liberal, I still think it's fun to laugh at the extremes on both sides of the spectrum. It's just the characters in this show aren't likable, and too much emphasis is placed on parody, where King of the Hill was just so much better, and it wasn't all about poking fun.

& Family Guy & it's crappy spin - off " The Cleveland Show " are as funny as a pall - bearer at a funeral..... slipping on a banana peel.

Liberals believe all the things the Goode family does it is just taken to an absurd level. I think all the other adults realize that. Personally I find liberals strange folk, but fun to be friends with an much more reasonable in real life (most are).

I don't think anyone is a moderate really. I think in actuality we're all more passionate about certain things than others. As Chris Rock put it, " I'm conservative on crime, but I'm liberal on prostitution." Anyone to far to one side and makes up their mind on an issue just based on their ideology isn't doing much thinking. The Goode family want the world to change around them, and fail to see why they should change at all and that is funny.

Anyway, based on just a couple of viewings, the Goode family seem to be idealists who live in their own world. Hank Hil & his family are sort of the same way.

- Prefer KoTH ( & The Simpsons ) to Family Guy, The Cleveland Show, etc.
