To get the red Goron tunic for free, you have to go to Goron City, bomb the rolling Goron to stop him and then talk to him about the Gorons. He'll tell you about what happened and then he'll give you the tunic. At least, that's how I got it on the 3D version.

@MonsterLoveism you can get it after you beat the dongodos cavern or however u spell that, but yea in the shop in the city with the Gorons it's the place with the two bombs by it. It also costs 200 rupees :(

@NoMidsForMe No you can't. You need the Fairy Bow from the Forest Temple to beat the Fire Temple but you can receive the Goron Tunic while trying to unlock the way to the entrance. I learned the Serenade of Water, the Minute of the Forest, And Bolero of Fire before starting the Forest Temple.

Link gets the bow and arrows in this temple. What I don't get is what being a grown up has to do with NOT being able to use a slingshot. The handle would be pretty small, yes, but Link was like 10 when he got it, he doesn't have baby hands. I'm sure adult Link would still be able to grip it.

@codemonkeyslikeme He got to the Temple using a Hookshot. He got it from Racing Dampe in The Graveyard. Open the first Tombstone on the left, race Dampe, and he'll give you the Hookshot to get to the Forest Temple in the Lost Woods Sacred Meadow. Simple
