This is absolutely gorgeous! Such beautiful music. Your juego flamenco really is inspiring, and it's this quality and emotion of play in talented musicians like you that keeps me practicing so that I, too, may one day be a flamenco master!
There is one problem Bilson, I wish he could but Rene doesn't play with tabs because this is very hard stuff that wasn't made with tabs to start with. I wish he had the time to but he is a very busy person. I take guitar lessons from him and it would take him awhile as he is a very busy person.
Bilson, thanks foryour interest in my music. I haven't got a chance to write it down, and I don't do tablature. If you read music maybe someday I can write it down in my new book and sent the electronic copy to you. Blessing!
@concertguitarist: The commentary of this video implies that you have written down this version of "Farruca", which incidentally is a very popular form of Flamenco that is usually used to accompany a male dancer. I would be more inclined to rename your version to "Ala Farruca", which means "like a Farruca, but not quite Farruca". Good try, my friend!
I am so sorry I just looked to your commend today. Buy a flamenco guitar that is not acoustic electric, they OK with amplifier but do not sound flamenco. Buy a pure flamenco guitar. If you have enough budget, buy a handmade one. Don't buy through internet, you don't want buy a guitar before you play it, and can't be returned. A hand made flamenco guitar price range around $ 2000 and up. You can find it in a good guitar store.
Hello Sir, his name is Rene (one e with accent mark)This is a French version of the name Rene for men. Renee with 2 e's is for ladies. If you don't know your history, Louis Braille's father's name was Rene with the accent mark.
Thanks for your compliment. I composed this Farruca, but I haven't get a chance to write it down yet. When I am bnot to busy I would like to do so. Maybe in the next 2 or three months, because many of my students ask me for it as well. I'll send it to you if you stay in touch with me.
Thank you, that would be great if you could write it. Did you purposely put a capo on 2 fret? For what effect or was that the key you wrote it in? Where do you teach? I teach in Maryland, USA
In Flamenco the capo or Cejilla is used either to adjust the pitch of the singer of to make sound more flamenco without changing the chord formation to keep a special color of the chord, as Farruca is almost always played in the key of A minor (very rare played in the key of E minor). I used to live in Portland, Oregon, but I moved to New York since 2003. Now I'm no longer teaching in the university, I only teach privately in New York. Do you teach in the college?
I dont teach at the Unversity, I teach Vocal (Show Choir and Classical guitar) in a high school in Montgomery County. I have a facebook account that contains all videos of my last concert. I cant put any of my videos on youtube due to privacy for the students. You can send an email to my name above without the numbers at hotmail. See ya.
this piece sounds like a little from Paco Pena' and a little Juan Serrano ...

Excellent job. I teach classical guitar to high school students and played this piece like 20 years ago. I wish I have the written music.
