@temokam No its not true. Genetic testing has proved most Somalis (like other Cushitics; Somalia, Ethiopian. Djbouti, Eritrea, Ancient Egypt) are Native Africans. Some do have admixture, which varies from family to family, but most do not. Africa is very diverse genetically and phenotypically. Africa is the most gentic varied continent and has phenotypically Native people, some who are not black, like the Berbers.

Somalis are related to Ethiopian tribes and some Kenyan tribes even, Arabs have never conquered Somalia or Ethiopia because they could not overcome the kingdoms that ruled there. Islam came to Somalia by trade. There was some Admixture but to assume a percentage like 40% is nothing short of outrageous. We are Cushites.
