Sugoi desu yo! Your Japanese is great. I hope you get to go to Japan and live. I'm sure that's what you want to do. I studied Japanese for 2 semesters in school. I usually just watch anime, movies or listen to people on youtube from Japan. It really helps with listening comprehension. That is my worse area.
Actually not so much! Be aware that Osaka is not very foreigner-friendly right now because it was hit worst with swine flu, and they think all foreigners have it. You should go to MinatoMirai in Yokohama... or just plain old Harajuku is always awesome!
Haha, thanks! Yeah i:ve been before about 4 years ago but its nice to stay for a while and just relax and do all this once-in-a-lifetime sorta stuff =).
wah! i understood most of that. lol. yesh! my first year of japanese is paying off. >:3 good luck studying in japan! i'm working on my dream to get there someday.
I think it's cool that you are in Japan actually doing something compared to many of these youtube vlogging losers. It frustrates me so much they are just in the country complaining and just failing at life.
Thank you! Yes, its really hard; for example yesterday I was at the Maruchan noodles HQ in Kobe interviewing 6 employees for an hour and a half. But I had to translate into Japanese, and they had to translate Portuguese into Japanese. Its really brain-tiring, but its so rewarding in the end.
Wow. I would say you're really lucky, but I don't really think luck has anything to do with it; you've studied hard and you deserve to be doing what you doing, so I hope you're having fun!
You're living my dream; I really want to be an intepretor :)
We're doing ethnographic research and interviews. Interviewing a lot of young people, salary-men, families, and company managers/employees that agree. I hope to post some of our findings, thought it'll probably be on a channel just for our project.
hahah i'm all over the place. I started out in Chiba, then moved to Nagoya, then Gifu, then have been staying in Osaka but taking day trips to Kyoto, etc. Though I'm on my way back to Tokyo eventually so I don't think I"ll be near Kyushu :(. Ganbatte kudasai ne!
oh you suck i left japan in april (Yea look how late i am on the youtube. hahaha~) it woulda been nice to meet up with a fun nihongo youtuber. i also found out emily is in tokyo. grr but anyhoo have fun! i think my next japan step is JET... im scared of dispatch companies...o_O
lol I left Japan in August. But I was there for a good year mate. I really loved it. Especially Beppu.. Missing my days when I would hang out at 68 :(
Haha seriously. So far we're planning for two Anthropology Poster Sessions (conferences), we're doing one final presentation in Japan in about a month, and in the next year will be working on a book. :) I hope to show a lot of hte video footage on Youtube.
me too! I left the room at one point, and when i came back in the evening they had switched out the table with futon.... so ninja-tastically beautiful. ahah
