Anyone else think that the America vs Japan conflict is just like xbox 360 vs ps3? Just got that vibe from everybody, both america and japan are great in their own ways. American fighting game players are more about the heat of the moment and improvising what they need to do, while japanese players disect the game and take it into more of a strategy game sense.
all of this america is better than japan and japan is better than america stuff is just plain silly, the way i see it, there are players in america that are better than other players in japan and there are players in japan who are better than some players in america, this includes competitive and casual gamers. @xJinRaGna I'm a MK/Tekken player. I saw Justin Wong play MK9 in the tournament. He sucks. Very easy to get by. His Kung Lao is very easy to beat with Raiden (but the Raiden player there SUCKED ASS. No proper combos and the guy had slow hands).
MvC3 is stupid and unbalanced. SF4 and SSF4 are also unbalanced due to several exploits being possible. I could say the same for Tekken but the imbalancements like Alisa are usually banned in tourneys. Daigo is damn overrated.

Its like in a sporting match, there is the home team and the away team. The things the home audience says when the away team is near them is alot of the time very cruel. The huge one way bias is unfair for the away team, if they got a goal they would get booed to kingdom come. Thats terrible in itself, but when it gets brought over to a singular person its not fair. All of america is the home audience and 1 single person is away, imagine how heartwrenching it is to the taunts.

He didnt say nothing about a challenge nor said that he was gonna beat everyone...he just said he was gonna play MVC3 in the tournament.

i've said it before in a previous comment but i'll say it again, Daigo literally...LITERALLY probably didn't even give shit if he won or lost to Floe. I've also read a comment saying something along the lines of "oh daigo been talking a lot of shit, he gets what he deserves" uhh...i don't think it counts as shit talking if someone said in an interview that they are one of the many players to look out for because they have been practising a lot with a game they enjoy playing lately.

Look, I'm not a fanboy of Japanese players and I'm also not one to be an asshole, but Daigo made his own video challenging american marvel, so we brought it
For one, it's OBVIOUSLY just to get hype, so relax.
Two, he's not anywhere near the level of top level American marvel. He barely made top8 with the highest level of seeding possible in the VERY first marvel tournament he's entered. He didn't beat any high level player, even I took his fucking money in a MM.

Its like in a sporting match, there is the home team and the away team. The things the home audience says when the away team is near them is alot of the time very cruel. The huge one way bias is unfair for the away team, if they got a goal they would get booed to kingdom come. Thats terrible in itself, but when it gets brought over to a singular person its not fair. All of america is the home audience and 1 single person is away, imagine how heartwrenching it is to the taunts.

Really though, I do not understand the double standard that a lot of the Japanese nutriders have for their players. Don't get me wrong I think Japan has the best FG players in the world in most fighting games, but they are definitely second tier to us in Marvel. Tokido winning marvel is just like when we win Street Fighter when Japanese players come to our tournaments. The difference is when we win street fighter it's a fluke to you guys, and when Tokido wins marvel "we're all free at that game"
