  • Thanks again SAM, another great production almost impossible to find elsewhere.

Has anyone here got the Mark Rylance Richard II, which I know has been recorded but I am unable to locate on DVD?

  • there are some postings here on YouTube of the Mark Rylance Richard II. You might want to contact that poster. A commercially issued DVD of the production is not available, of course.

  • Never seen "Absent Friends " available in any media. It was produced for BBC2 and aired 29 September 1985.....Virtually the only BBC stuff picked up by public TV and aired on this side of pond are the top-shelf 'premier' productions of classic plays or famous casts.

  • great vid thanks for sharing, i dont suppose you know were i can get a copy of alan ayckborn's play absent friends?
