I did see Absent Friends back in the late eighties on CBC or TVO in Ontario, Canada. They used to show a large number of BBC etc productions of plays.
there are some postings here on YouTube of the Mark Rylance Richard II. You might want to contact that poster. A commercially issued DVD of the production is not available, of course.
Never seen "Absent Friends " available in any media. It was produced for BBC2 and aired 29 September 1985.....Virtually the only BBC stuff picked up by public TV and aired on this side of pond are the top-shelf 'premier' productions of classic plays or famous casts.
any reason they refer to him as Harry Le Roy? obv he uses that name in Henry V but why here, obviously it's a fake name
