Great cover of a great song, Dan! One of my favorite Prine lies is in this song- "...but she waits just a second too long..."  It speaks volumes in just a few words.

But let's not be too hasty about enshrining John on any mountains for the moment- he's not quite done yet!

I had seen John Prine perform this @ Carnegie Hall this past January. To tell you the truth,I was truly disappointed in the performance because,unfortunately,he saw the need to back it up and polish its purity with slick electrical instrumentation (not what I was anticipating).

Fortunately,I am blessed and privy to come to You Tube and witness your pure and unadulterated,acoustically stripped down performance here with beautiful,sensitive vocals...better than John himslf.
