I bought this album in January 1977. It was a really cold day with a foot of snow. My student house was like an ice box but I got home and put on Jerry. This was my first album by him and I was blown away and warmed up by Jerry's Hot Licks. When I listen to this album I am transported back to my student days. I have lost count of all the albums I have bought by Jerry since then. I don't quite have them all- I need Jerry Reed Explores Guitar Country and the Unbelievable Guitar and Voice etc.!

I first saw Jerry Reed on "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour", and this guit-fiddle-pickin' fool just blew me away!! I remember the part of that show where Glen, Jerry, Larry McNeely and sometimes John Hartford would sit around and have some fun with some great pickin'--Jerry would put his feet up on a box or low table, lean back, grin and just the good sounds flow. ANYONE who is able to have that much fun and sound so good all at the same time is one righteous performer! Thanks, Jerry-we miss you
