i never knew glue sticks had such a strong hold. i always associate them with little kid projects (bc i work with kindergarteners!) but ive been seeing alot of people use them for their craft projects.. ill have to check it out!
I love those glue sticks too! They have a great texture, not messy, and like you said....cheap at Target! Great tutorial! I was going to mention that I will use sandpaper on the edges that are hanging off as well, to get a nice clean edge. Then ink as you do. Thanks!
For smoothing paper the way you did with your "old" breyer, I found a wooden fondant brayer in the cake decorating section at Michael's. I think it was about $6. It works very well, and because it's made of wood, I can lightly sand it with fine sandpaper if it gets glue residue on it.
Hey Regina, where did you purchase your extra large eyelets? I asked the lady here at my Micheal's and she suggested that I use eyelets from the sewing dept. The only problem is, is that they don't look like yours. I soooo love all your videos. I hope that I am not asking too many questions! Thanks in advance!
How funny I bought the same brayer and I been wanting to replace it but I had forgotten were I bouth it!!! Now that you mentioned it I totally remember that. chucks to bad we cannot get more if I would have known better!!!
Thanks for sharing!!!!
BTW are you in Cali because we just had a storm too!!!!
I HAVE to get me some of that yummy paper!!! My daughters B-day is next weekend and I want to make her a cupcake mini using this paper line :) TFS!! hugs, T
Thanks so much for the tutorial, Regina! You make it look so easy. I really love the Scotch quick dry adhesive, so I will definitely give this glue stick a shot! tfs :)
Thanks for your tutorial, Regina! It's great seeing how others do things. I was going to buy a brayer awhile ago, but I didn't...now, I wanna get one :)! Thanks again.
thanks for the tutorial Regina! I'm in a glue without tracing and cut with an exacto knife phase. maybe I'll eventually get around to a tutorial, *sigh* Hope you're staying warm and dry with that storm you mentioned.
I see on your distressing tool . It looks like cottenlike things to put on it. Does not seem to work that well. So I am guessing by looking at yours there is sponge like ones .
Thanks for the tutorials...very helpful. I am new to minis and making one of the how but could not figure out what was best to adhere the paper. Thanks so much !! Love all your videos :)
Ok One more question...what are you useing to cut out the paper is it a cricut or die-cutting system or are you just tracing it? It looks really close to the chipboard size. Thanks~ Shalyn
That's how you roll!!! Great video, I also love my mombo glue stick. I just ordered a bunch of glimmer mist from JoAnn's, but I didn't see Marshmellow, bummer. I did find, the Pearl that we talked about. Rats! Jig is up my D.H. just called & saw my purchase on the debit account. Shoot! Shoot! He's a good man. :)
Gale....you always crack me up! Love your comments! You will notice how much the Pearl glimmers more than the other colors. Let me know how you like it. TFW
That's a great help, thanks for the tutorial, i'm new to making mini's and albums, and have been experimenting with adhesives for adhering the papers to the chipboard, but hadn't tried the stick glue before... will give this a try and thanks again for the fab tip xx

tfs ! Won't it unstick with time and hand-manipulation ? I already used a glue-stick like this, but the cardstock unstuck itself days afterward... :(

If you don't have the hole punching tool can you just poke a pencil through it?
specialnprecious 4 months ago
@specialnprecious
A pencil will not pierce through chipboard. It's too thick.
AllThingsPretty3 4 months ago
@AllThingsPretty3 I meant through the paper if the chipboard already has a hole in it

@specialnprecious
Yes! Absolutely
