@blackspike1991 I know what it is and what it is for. It's used for headers and exhaust, I have it on my Talon. It's meant to keep hot things cooler. So in your case, wrapping a COLD air intake doesn't make any sense.

@Protecthishouse94 It does not make the exhaust cooler. If anything it would make it hotter because it keeps the heat in the exhaust system and out of the rest of the engine bay. Wrapping a COLD air intake with exhaust wrap would keep the HEAT out of the intake tubing. It's called the laws of thermodynamics. Look it up.

heat wrap is intended for the exhaust manifold. its purpose is to trap heat inside the manifold to reduce under hood temperature. by wrapping the intake piping an intake manifold you are drawing heat from under the hood and increasing intake air temps which makes your intercooler less efficient...

Okay i have an 03 sxt sadly auto and what not but its a start. i have an 8k hid kit. and i wanted to get the black housed halos can i still put my hid kit in them? ive heard stories that the plastic may melt a bit or get ruined

@renearb I got them as a set (Headlights & Foglights) on Ebay.... Just look up "SRT-4 Black Halo Projector Headlights... The only problem I had with the headlights were that the black weatherstripping didn't fit right on the headlights. So I ended up taking the stripping off of my OEM lights, and put them on the projectors.

@miatazoomzoom I wrapped the intake and the intake manifold... I've gotten significant engine temperature drops since. The temp gauge doesnt go above 180. Also, if I drive around for some time, and I want to work under the hood, it's a lot cooler.... I can grab ahold of the intake manifold and not get burnt... ever.

So: Car runs a lot cooler

No worries about overheating problems
