  • Is that Harry Potter?????? O.o

  • not an idiot, the person who wrote that title is

  • What's his name? The guy I mean (is it you?)

  • the piano player is good.

  • This man is not an idiot at all !!!

  • This man is not an idiot at all. The sound is 100% Beethoven.

  • looks like harry potter

  • Yes......I definitely want to be an idiot too!! Can I huh? You play well!

  • Fabelhaft!!

  • Hmpf, I don't know WHY you added this title, but it certainly does not fulfill my expectations of an ''idiot playing Beethoven''. But it sound quite ironic...you play really nice. Nice work, and I hope that new videos will appear in the future. :)

  • I play the first 2 movements of this Sonata, very nice one. What is with this idiotic title?

  • That scherzo is a joke. Great Job

  • what sonata?

  • Idiots are awesome.

  • Omg, the title is that so noobish to make everybody see this video, smart one.

  • amazing. the sound quality isnt even bad

  • i wish i were an idiot too.

  • Haha for the ending, but he is good at the piano thats for sure

  • thanks

  • excelente

  • lmfao the very end was hilarious

  • The Trio looks not easy, I´m proud!

  • are you israeli? i'm asking because of the video where they speak hebrew. looks like you were a soldier... did you go to "מוזיקאי מצטיין" or something?

  • Yes I am Israeli. actually in the other video those are all soldiers but i am not. i left israel when i was 14 so i never went to the army there. i'm not a מוזיקאי מצטיין after all.... :-)

  • AMAZING!!

  • I think you know what Beethoven was thinking with this number, or maybe think you think you know. I think so, though.

    Bravo

  • not so idiot haha . but the sound maybe...

  • Take that back. I've just given it a second listen. Oh, my God, it is Beethoven. Really expressive and gorgeous.

  • Did Beethoven really write that? Or was he or you or both of you kidding? It sounded like an ingenious pastiche.

  • you are so talented!

    :]

  • It's so much more entertaing when you can exagerate like that. That particular piece must be very fun to play. I like this video, nice job.

  • Fleeing from prison, are you? You don't really THINK you're an idiot, do you? (apart from having applied for Juilliard school haha.) You're a great pianist! (maybe you should become the new Victor Borge? Please watch his video-clips!)

  • he is more a genuis than an idiot and his technique is A+ !!! 5*

  • Totally agree! Sometimes pianists do weird hand movements just to encourage themselves. Just take a look at Gould!

  • what are you playing from him?

  • Variations op. 41

  • @phquiring third movement sonata No 15 Op 28

  • hey crazy boy,

do you know kapustin, o'm sure you will love his music. look on my videos and you will find some preludes from him.

i know my englisch is worse, sorry.

II III II III II III

    Philipp (from Germany)

  • Yeah I actually play some Kapustin. Maybe i'll upload it

  • Technique very good, a bit rushed in the middle and too much pedal. Needs to be more Bachian (is that a word?) Have some respect.

  • HAA HAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

    thanks for that, really.

  • Wow nice job on this quick little piece, very good style i love it. Keep it up

  • The best musician!!!:-)

  • wow, nice, and played with just the right spirit! ;P

  • oh dear .I love WATYCHING you . Very confident playing u can feel where he keys are but the video has some ugly sounds in it but i think a lotta of young pianist don't THINK or really listen to he contrasts of tone they make. This is good Beethoven playing but listen to andrewski . Beethoven is about surprise. He is Hadyn with a MEAN WIT .

  • Thanks.. tho i think beethoven is not haydn with a wit... he is just beethoven. and this wasn't supposed to be a master performance, just some fun in the practice room.

  • Nice work Zarjulius! Do know Andersona and Roe?

    I love them!

  • AndersoN and Roe... yes.. I do know them. Not so much Greg but Liz, I see her around once in a while.

  • Zarjulius, That's cool, I have never been the same since I watched them play Piazzolla's Libertango and Barber's Pas de deux. They changed my life!

Hey, do you play any Scriabin, I'd love to hear that! You should post more videos. I really like your playing! Thanks.

  • Interesting interpretation.

  • Thanks!

  • I think this may be the funniest thing on YouTube. That and the video response.

  • I would if he wrote any music for piano.... He's a violin composer.

  • Are you a soloist? Do you get to study with Emanuel Ax?

  • I suppose you could say I'm a soloist. I don't study with Emanuel Ax because I'm not in his studio. He only has maybe 1.5 students.

  • Hmm, could u make more vids of yourself playing

How long have you been studying at Juilliard and what do u plan on doing after

  • Tis true - slightly sketchy playing - but you were put off its true and im guessing this was just a not too serious practice.

  • It is so hard to understand your sentence that I'll just take is as a compliment. Thanks!

  • This is a great sonata - rather overlooked by college students who tend to dive in at the late beethoven! Nice to hear your working on it. Did you do it for an exam or just for fun!

  • ooh, Sorabji nice name drop Cemballisticum!

  • it's sick lol

    good job

  • Marvellous!

  • haha.. you mofo... please play some alkan now THANK YOU!!!and maybe some sorabji, korngold,eckard-grammate, satie, ornstein, wourinen, and mozart(volodos version only) thanks!!! hehe keep it up you pianist you!

  • You do play very well, where do go to school at?

  • Juilliard

  • Hey... Your brother sent me this...

    Very good playing!!!

  • wow, exceptional piano playing - and funny too :-)

  • It's less than exceptional but thanks!

  • Well, hey, it totally pwns my performance of this movement. I thought it was excellent, and it made me happy that your gestures are not unlike my own in playing this mvmt of this sonata.
