sorry no, just these videos have tracked the evolution of this thing. Current stats are 14 and 60, 5:13s spool detroit outers and flanges, Lt1 400 and 203 205 doubler, 52s front and 63s rear with 42s on 15x8s, narrowed, 10k winch, cage, square homemade front shaft, HAD 1450 rear shaft. and PSC assist rounds off the list.
That's the wheeling I like, "Slow and Controlled". What diffs are you running? My current setup received a full axle swap with the pos corp 10's being swapped for Dana 44/Corp14 front/rear, respectively.
not sure of the song name i picked it from the youtube list when they forced me to change the music I had. As for the small vs. big block. low end torque is your friend. If you want to crawl all you need is gears, low low gears. If your asking on here for tips on a whole conversion. I wont be able to help you, try googling. thanks for viewing
name of song please!!! al so, do v8 small blocks works better for this kind of driving or are big blocks better? i got an 84 gmc 2500 2wd that im thinking of converting... any pointers?
I respect your driving skill you show in all your movies. You still run the 52" springs in the rear or did you swap in the 56"? Is it worth it? Building my 60 front now for my K5. Can't wait to go wheelin again.
Well i need more info than that. What tread width? If 15" wide than prob a 10" wide wheel if only 11" wide than prob only a 8" wide wheel. As for 15s, 16.5s, 17s ect. well if your runing tons you will have to grind the crap out of your front calipers to get 15s to fit, but it can be done. The bigger the wheel the better it will handle on the road. The smaller the wheel the better footprint you will have off road once aired down. research more and find out what you want as an end product.
@dunn98632 Well that is a big question, quite possibly to big to answer here. I can flex as much as many 4link setups. But a coil setup will always excel in high speed scenarios. Also a link suspension will be more perdictable as far as movement. Without a traction bar in the rear and soft leafsprings, axle wrap will be an issue and cause wheel hop, loss of traction, and parts breakage. So as far as what point I will change? When ever I have the money. This setup is very basic and works.
When you start wanting to go fast, get more advanced, and just plain better all around spend the coin and upgrade. e-mail me or pm me if I can help more. Thanks for the compliments.
@onetonk5 do you have the doubler in yet? post up when ya do. its about snow season up there. firebreak 5 is actually hard with 4 feet o' snow on it. oh yeah, i have a k5 on tons with 4.88s, doubler, on 39s. swapping in my 454 right now.
@BEATK5 Yes the doubler, EFI, and auto are in and I wheeled it all summer and loved it. I twisted the 14bolt houseing on the last run. I have a few new vids up, just click on my username and youll see em all. your rig sounds great. happy wheeling!
I did as you said and I enjoyed the show. FINALLY, someone who know how to drive. I get tired of all these videos of people just wacken it open to get through stuff. Thanks for sticken with factory rim size also. Don't see why folks are going to the 19 inch plus rims for out in the woods.
Hey man, fun rig! Great job. Just bought a 79 with a 6inch lift an have a 56"rear coming. As for the front, what did you do? Reply would be much appreciated!
@whometdan I did 52" up front with about a 7"shackle. From what I read thats what pretty much everyone does. 56" out back. e-mail me if you have any more questions
The wheels in this video are 15x12 with 2.5" BS. They fit with no grinding on the 60 and the 14. The new white wheels in the new vid are 15x8 with 4" BS and had to grind a fair amount to the 60 calipers.
@onetonk5 wats the name of the song? and wat type of tire do u guys recomed for me im getting a 1986 gmc serria 1500 heavy dually 4x4 i never have had a dually b4 so i dnt know wat are good tires and sizes for them?
why does it take big nutz I know i can do stuff jeeps can't and i know they can do stuff i can't FIT into LOL.. Most jeep guys go one tons sooner or later. =0)
ps. i like jeeps too, with a set of one tons they go anywere you point them LOL.

Man... SICK blazer. I am very curious what all you have done to it. We have a 72 chevy k1500 that we have done a ton of work to. One of my best friends used to roll in a K5, check out the redneckin videos by buzz almighty. I drive one of the involved jeeps in them. I check in the video description and didnt really find anything about the blazer. Would love to know some specs. 5 Stars from me.
well its in my garage right now getting a doubler th400 and an LT1. but in the vid it is 350, sm465, np208, 60 front 14 rear, 5:13s, spool rear detroit front, 35 spline outers and flanges, 4 in lift with shackle flip rear and 52s up front.
that is one siick blazer man.. how are you liking thoes tires i got a 86 k10 with 39 tsls that are worn right out im looking for new ones.. and not sure what to get any suggestions ?
yeah man that is a sweet looking blazer love the stance and you can see that you can get a leaf sprung susp. to perform well. cool video wished i could've heard it operating.
Turbo lag is the time delay of boost response after the throttle is opened when operating above the boost threshold engine speed. Turbo lag is determined by many factors, including turbo size relative to engine size, the state of tuning of the engine, the inertia of the turbo's rotating group, turbine efficiency, intake plumbing losses, exhaust backpressure, etc. At such a low speed as rock crawling I really don't think turbo lag would be a worry.
well its in my garage right now getting a doubler th400 and an LT1. but in the vid it is 350, sm465, np208, 60 front 14 rear, 5:13s, spool rear detroit front, 35 spline outers and flanges, 4 in lift with shackle flip rear and 52s up front.
damn bro this is a sick ass blazer i got a 78 k10 blazer w/ a 400ci I just rebuilt, and everytime I look at your rig It motivates me to go in your direction... the hell with the mud all it does is f**k your sh** up in the long run.. Nice work bro keep up the good work!!!
gotta love tsf man, sick k5. i feel like ive seen your rig in the rock garden before....My rigs almost done, keep an eye out for a one ton blue and white bronco on 4ds
WOW WOW WOW. There is no BLOCKS up front im not that stu! What you are seeing is a cut overload and a shim center pin though it all. Goood to go. I like to wheel in the woods but I sure aint from the woods! :)
awesome vid, the truck is smooth. check out my truck havent made any good vids yet but have two of my truck check them out under k5 skull crusher and z71 blue thunder. laterz
what sized lift would you recommend for a truck(K5 Blazer) with all its body panels and that is driven daily. Also would it be a suspension lift or body lift.
rule of thumb on chevys 6in will get you 35s and 8 or 9 will get you 37s with no trimming. IMO body lifts are lame but if you must, keep it to a 2in body and make sure its after you already have done at least 6in susp.
Why is there 13,000 views on slow and controlled but only like 1,800 on the big easy?! why is this one so much more viewed? I like the other one better. just curious, Thanks -Ryan (Blaze Sr.)
hey i was wondering if u trailer ur blazer or drive it ut to the trails , also i was wondering if when u cut ur fenders u found a way to leave the wheel well in or made new ones, and how u feel about sway bars
the blazer is trailed, it would not be that fun to drive for 2 hours on the freeway thats what the duramax is for. I will make some rubber liners in the wheel wells some day with that much trimmed theres no way to keep the org. ones. ditch the sway bars! you can make disconects but im never on the street. happy wheeling.
i dont like it that much no music more truck and your good

Turbo lag is determined by many factors, including turbo size relative to engine size, the state of tuning of the engine, the inertia of the turbo's rotating group, turbine efficiency, intake plumbing losses, exhaust backpressure, etc. At such a low speed as rock crawling I really don't think turbo lag would be a worry.

onetonk5 3 years ago
If thats the case then sorry, but im sure you understand how that would look like a block in the vid.
bearfoot25 3 years ago
awesome vid, the truck is smooth. check out my truck havent made any good vids yet but have two of my truck check them out under k5 skull crusher and z71 blue thunder. laterz
dbzgt545 3 years ago
what sized lift would you recommend for a truck(K5 Blazer) with all its body panels and that is driven daily. Also would it be a suspension lift or body lift.
Xx69roadrunnerxX 3 years ago
rule of thumb on chevys 6in will get you 35s and 8 or 9 will get you 37s with no trimming. IMO body lifts are lame but if you must, keep it to a 2in body and make sure its after you already have done at least 6in susp.

cool thanks for the help.
Xx69roadrunnerxX 3 years ago
Agreed... I have an 86 K5 with a 6" Leaf and 35s... perfect for the playing I do...

Why is there 13,000 views on slow and controlled but only like 1,800 on the big easy?! why is this one so much more viewed? I like the other one better. just curious, Thanks -Ryan (Blaze Sr.)
onetonk5 3 years ago
When you search for things like chevy or chevrolet K5 Blazer the big easy isnt on their or in the first 8 pages atleast.
Xx69roadrunnerxX 3 years ago
what type of off-roading is this considered? Is it rock crawling or what? Also is your Blazer street Legal?
Xx69roadrunnerxX 3 years ago
this is a trail ride w/ a lil crawling in it. It is trailered where ever it goes. with mud flaps and fender flares you could prob drive on the street
onetonk5 3 years ago
nice blazer! motivating me to finish my cage and oba
Jishory 3 years ago
hey i was wondering if u trailer ur blazer or drive it ut to the trails , also i was wondering if when u cut ur fenders u found a way to leave the wheel well in or made new ones, and how u feel about sway bars
orangesoda22 3 years ago
the blazer is trailed, it would not be that fun to drive for 2 hours on the freeway thats what the duramax is for. I will make some rubber liners in the wheel wells some day with that much trimmed theres no way to keep the org. ones. ditch the sway bars! you can make disconects but im never on the street. happy wheeling.
