I did the brakes (all 4 pads & rotors) for $800 in parts and did the labor myself and got a clutch replacement (kevlar disk and resurfaced dual mass flywheel) done for $2k parts and labor.
These really aren't expensive cars to maintain, though it's a PITA to get at the plugs & injectors.

I don't have to buy the G37 X AWD coupe now, ..but I'll get for less like 24K, modify it ($11K) ...$35,000 10.9 - 11.5 ET.

The 2002 Zonda S can reach a top speed of 200mph while the 2009 GTR can only reach 193mph, the Zonda S can do the quarter mile in 11.8 while the GTR does it in 11.807 So yes the GTR did outlap SOME zondas on the nurburgring, BUT it is slower then some on the 1/4 mile and would be left behind on a top end race by all zondas. frankly a datsun is a datsun no matter what the price

The 2002 Zonda S can reach a top speed of 200mph while the 2009 GTR can only reach 193mph, the Zonda S can do the quarter mile in 11.8 while the GTR does it in 11.807 So yes the GTR did outlap SOME zondas on the nurburgring, BUT it is slower then some on the 1/4 mile and would be left behind on a top end race by all zondas. frankly a datsun is a datsun no matter what the price

Keep in mind that NOW (original comment didn't) I am referring to the new 2012 GT-R as the competition has caught up over the years. This new GT-R does 0-60 in 2.9 sec and 1/4 mile in 11.2

As for your German talk, I don't really care. It's subjective. I drove a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S and a C5 Corvette with a few bolt ons (headers, exhaust) back to back. I'd take the Corvette any day.

Has anyone heard of a used car? That car is a 2002 996TT, which can be had for $45k these days (probably less than the G35 driver paid for his.
Plus it's not stock. Stock 996TTs don't run 11s at 123.

i cant believe how much hate some of you are giving to this g37 lol its less the half the price of that 911 which might of been the turbo one cuz of slits on the side? my mechanic has one and looks like that and its turbo. i raced him with my g35 which runs mid 13s and he wopped me worse then this race but his has 550 whp he said stock he ran 12 now he runs 11s which would explain this race im sure a carrera would of been a better match but most of the time you get paired with a random person.
