I think there should be more weight classes, the fighters should have a choice to fight at different weight classes if they want to, people should lose 15 pounds at the most for a weight class not 25 or 30 like some are doing, but that's just my opinion.
i think 14 is too much but i'd like too see a battamweight(125-135), and featherweight(135-145)for the small guys who can't even make it to lightweight; and superheavyweight division(over 265).
MMA is alright i guess? but im a boxer, and i have to agree there are too many weight classes in my opinion! they should go back to the original ones... Flyweight-112 Bantamweight-118 Featherweight-126 Lightweight-135 Welterweight-147 Middleweight-160 Light Heavyweight-175 Heavyweight-200 I mean it would be alot easier to keep up with everything thats going on... but regardless i thhink Boxing is a better sport.
I also think the ABC's most important ruling was the clarification of what is an illegal elbow strike and what is an illegal strike to the back of the head. After that Marquart fight at 85 and especially the Lesnar fight, its nice to see some clarity (The mowhawk rule vs the headphone rule)
yet, the CSAC said today thaty they'll use the Headphone rule?
All this politics is tbe downfall of the sport, if promotions worked together we'd see the best matchups in all divsions.
Did you notice how the countrie's two largest athletic commisions weren't in attendence to the ABC's conference? LOL. That shows how much weight this will carry
Regardless, I like having lighter weight classes because it gives ligheter guys a better chance to get into the sport. However, i think more belts will be needed to be added in the UFC as they get more and more tallent in there.
OR they could be smart and use that talent in GP's with compelling matchups
hey im not the biggest mma fan myself but 1st it is his channel he can put what he wants on it and i respect it so why dont you 2nd i listen to what he has to say and see what he sees in mma and things of tht sort and lastly if u dont like it dont watch jeez man
it's kind of the same way for TNA. at first they tried to make a name for themselves by being different from the WWE, but as soon as they start getting bigger, they just try to be just like the WWE, which doesn't make much sense.
Hey TS: When WWE got rid of the Cruiserweight title I thought they were going to replace it with the ECW TV belt, an X division belt or another similar light weight title. My quesion is why does WWE even have Cruiserweight and X Division style stars when there is no championchip for them to feud over?
Personally, I don't care for weight classes at all. If I had it my way, there wouldn't be any weight classes and anybody could fight anybody at any time. If you had to have weight classes though, I'd only have like, three or four really. More than that and you'll miss out on a lot of great fights.
The most obvious abuse of the weight class system(recently), would definitely be the Matt Hughes vs. Thiago Alves fight, and the fight between Joe Stevenson and Gleison Tibau. It's also quite ironic to learn that Alves and Tibau come from the same fighting camp...
ur vid messed up at the end, but I do like ur new MMA rants. It's nice to hear someone get on hear and actually talk about it and know what they're talking about

i agree w/ the odd # rounds
ya jackson is in some legal trouble 2 w/ that truck "rampage"
i don't think banning the smuthering will sell out mma, but the accumulation of all of the most recent rule changes will
i agree 14 classes is 2 much
maybe they should go by the weight right before the fight (ie: not the day before, a few hrs before)
i think the ufc weight class system is good, but i think there should be another heavyweight weight class, it's to spred out.

You don't need to have a Cruiserweight, Lightweight or X Division Championship to have smaller wrestlers wrestle for you.
EXXXTACY69 3 years ago
So they won't go to TNA to make themselves stars in the X-division

Ring Magazine is the only legitimate champions in boxing. The "Alphabet" titles need to go the way of the dinosaur.
More weight divisions in MMA would be a disaster.

I think 6 should be plenty. 5 is just fine too. But 14 is a crazy insane number.

Hey TSlay, are you going to talk about how TNA is blaming Samoa Joe, and his weight for their poor ratings?
Pecker6914 3 years ago
Well actually they are not blaming him, more like they are just concerned that his look isn't very marketable.
