i now own 2 microsamplers and love your vids. i have been interested in the ds10 for about a year but do not own a ds is it worth buying both the ds and ds10 for the ds10 alone?

I'm pretty sure Korg studied the earlier portable sampling keyboards by Casio, in coming up with a style and design for the MicroSampler. The design of the MicroSampler shows a strong resemblance to the Casio SK-60, while the row of LEDs above the keys and the way they make cool looking tracer patterns is strongly reminiscent of the Casio SK-8 and it's row of LEDs that also do similar effects.

The Casio SK range was HUGE in the 80's, so it makes sense to copy ideas from them.

You've just got to have priorities! ;-) I'd rather buy synths that I can use to play something original (see my vids) than a bunch of other things which I really don't need...

I still have an Casio SK-60 here... I'm not sure if I dare to circuit bend it! ;-) Someday I'd like to try an ER-1!
