Why did Biden have to drop out of the 1988 presidential election? Oh yeah, he was caught plagarizing speeches from British laor leader, Neil Kinnock.
A son and a brother of Sen. Joseph R. Biden are accused in two lawsuits of defrauding a former business partner and an investor of millions of dollars in a hedge fund deal that went sour, court records show.
He made constant references to Neil Kinnock and the one time he did not cite Kinnock was when he was being videotaped. Unfortunate.
The Indian man who he directed his comments towards was reported to not have been offended and still continued to support him throughout the primaries.
And his comment about "blacks" was only attributed to Barack Obama, of which was addressed in a debate in which Obama fully praised Biden for his involvement in civil rights.
since it didn't rain on obama, like focus on the family prayed for, and since the hurricaine is postponing the republicans, does that mean that God endorsed obama :) lmao

Biden is an absolute moron. He had to drop out of the 1988 presidential race because he was caught plagarizing form British labor leader Neil Kinnock. He also admitted to plagarizing in law school.
He voted against the Gulf War in 1991, but voted for the Iraqi War in 2003.
i would rather have a guy who has done well enough to own 13 houses. think about it. do you want the guy who drives a lexus doing your taxes or the one pushing a shopping cart full of aluminum cans and living under a bridge.
Yes, because the only two choices are hideous excess and total poverty!
deepshouthhog, are you capable of any thought beyond absolute black and white? You're supporting McCain, one of the main people behind the Savings and Loan meltdown of the 90's! Google the 'Keating Five'.

This is a comparison over the first 4yrs ONLY. I really don't know how he kept his job? Median household income, change Clinton: +1.7% per year Bush: -1.6% per year Number of Americans in poverty (average change per year) Clinton: -800,000 Bush: +1.5 million Number of Americans without health insurance Clinton: +145,000 Bush: +1,885,000 Federal surplus/deficit (annual average): Clinton: +$5 billion Bush: -$350 billion Vote democrat...

that's hillarious someone who misunderstood my alias is telling me that the iraq war is a "mistake". Let me tell you motherfucker. Millions of people dying in vain going into a war they didn't want is not just a "mistake". Its treason. The least they could do is step down. The reason iraq will continue to fail is because people "forgive" people's "mistakes". When we should fire them for their errors. Like anyone else on the job.
Its time to get off your high horse for a second. You've got to appreciate that the decision was based on intelligence- FLAWED intelligence provided by a FLAWED executive branch. I'd like to see you making those kinds of decisions. He's admitted that, given the benefit of hindsight it was the wrong decision, hindsight is a great thing isn't it? This kind of political grandsatnding helps no one. Treason? Honestly.
Jesus guy, although I admire Biden I agree with you 100% People who voted for the war need to be held to account. I do think Biden is sincere in doing what he thinks is best right now but have alot more respect for those who spoke out against the war at the time US was pro-war like Kucinich, Paul, Obama, Gore...
oh... you mean Obama who couldnt vote yes or no on the issue, and Gore who was not in government to do anything about it.... interesting. Oh and Paul and Kucinich are representatives, that means there district elected. They could vote for killing babies and still get re-elected.
and Gravel? what do you have on him? he's clean and he's running and he acknowledges it was a mistake from the start. He is also a WWII veteran and a huge number of them agreed from the start that its not a war that should've been started.
So in a nutshell you excuse the Dems who voted for the war because it would have spelled their political demise to do otherwise. Well, there were Dems who voted against the war in the senate and got re- elected and Dems who voted for it and got booted out of office, so voters should reject that reasoning entirely. It's not valid.
Votes of that kind of magnitude should not be made because of political expiedience. Alot of Dems were afraid to speak out against the President at the time because they were too afraid of the big, bad GOP attack machine branding them as weak pacifists. Hillary is still doing it right now with Iran but it has blown up in her face. To Biden's credit he's now obstructing and not perpetuating this horrible neocon agenda.
nononono my friend. Just saying "we are going to leave Iraq" is not a plan. Biden has put his plan on the floor of the Senate and has recieved support from Republicans. Also, you think Kucinich can get GOP support? You think Paul can win a general election? The only one that you mentioned that i respect is Richardson, but even his plan is reckless.
What's so complicated about leaving. You tell your men "stand down" and start calling in the ships, helicopters, planes, tanks, boats, anything in.
And do I care if it tickles the GOP's fancy? I know what I want. And I think people would like Mike Gravel. He wants to empower you me and then some. I don't think it matter if its GOP or Democrat. We're equally jipped. We need to have power to hold our government. Instead of transfering our power by voting others.
if he's not the next president (which I think he's a def front-runner) he has the potential to be a legendary sec. of state (I can only hope other candidates on both sides can see that)
Biden is truely an amazing leader. When I see the lack of corperate donations going to him because they would rather give to less qualifed candidates who they can persuade based on profit goals, it inspires me to fight for Biden. I am bordering on poverty, but I have donated $30 to Biden. Please join me, so he can convince Iowa voters that he is truely needed at such a crucial time in American history. Thanks.
I am a republican who is about to consider a democrat - I have become totally distraught with our leadership but must admit I have finally listened to a democrat that I want to hear more from how the hell is this guy so low in your democratic polls????? if this is all straight talk he walks straight into the white house hands down
I'm from New Zealand and have absolutely nothing riding on the outcome of the 2008 elections other than a wish to see the US turn around on foreign policy, trade and the environment. This guy is the one who can win back trust from the rest of the world, I'm telling you.
Yet another beatdown of Rudy Giuliani by the vastly superior Joe Biden. I hear Giuliani was so upset and in tears, that he called in Chris Matthews to hold his hand and rub his tummy.
Joe Biden really knows where to put the pressure and make the point .. here is someone who can think on his feet and lead at the same time ... this is priceless in America right now ... people need to pay attention.
Don't worry a single bit about all the toxic waste Rudy's emitting at the moment. This guy's in meltdown mode right now. Can you say crash & burn? He won't be the GOP's choice for President. You need a second conveyor belt to handle all of Rudy's extra baggage and he would be so easily swift-boated in a general election it's not even funny.
This is Joe bidens web site, you can be for ron. But go on his site. I don't go on pauls and make comments about joe. Ron paul has been a member of the john burch society that denies the holocaust happened.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
The "polls" are all fabricated. Giuliani and Biden have about six supporters between the two of them. RON PAUL is the real deal and has more support among the PEOPLE than ANY other candidate. RON PAUL 2008!!!
Yeah Rudy you have plenty of foreign policy experience. You were a DA and then mayor. Hell Ruth Ann Minner has more than you do; Ruth Ann is Governor of Delaware, a state with 1/12 the population of NYC.
No, Senator Biden is one of the worst candidates in the race. He partnered with radical Bahai feminist organization Tahirih Justice Center, sponsoring the HORRIFYING, UNCONSTITUTIONAL 'Intl Romance Regulation Act'. Now it's a FELONY for ALL American citizens to communicate, write friendship letters, or even to say 'Hello' to foreigners! You can thank Biden and his feminist friends for this atrocious legislation.
What did Mr. Giuliani do [about faulty radios]?" Al Santora, the retired Chief of Safety for FDNY whose son died on 9/11, asks in one of the film's most poignant moments. "He had eight years. He did nothing to correct that situation... We got people dead as a result."
As Greenwald documents, the radios used by the FDNY on 9/11 were precisely the same ones that malfunctioned during the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center. Eight years after that attack, Giuliani did replace the defective equipment. But the new radios he bought under a no-bid, $14 million contract from Motorola (the previous contract was $1.4 million) were never field-tested.
The "upgrade" proved disastrous. Within a week, the just-purchased radios were recalled after a firefighter's mayday went un-heard. Giuliani was forced to reissue the old, faulty batch. And on 9/11 when a police helicopter warned that the North Tower could collapse, more than 120 firefighters remained inside.
"The radios failed them and that was Giuliani failing them," says Roseleen Tallon, whose brother Sean was an FDNY member killed in 9/11.

I'm sorry anyone who voted for the Iraq war and is now wanting out should not be allowed to run. Its that simple.
PersonalJesus348 4 years ago
That's hilarious. A guy who's alias has "Jesus" in it is telling us that we can never forgive someone for making a mistake.
He said he made a mistake on the war vote. He's now the only one offering a plan to END that war. I say that shows growth, maturity, and leadership.
niremetal 4 years ago 3
that's hillarious someone who misunderstood my alias is telling me that the iraq war is a "mistake".
CLEAR?

Its time to get off your high horse for a second. You've got to appreciate that the decision was based on intelligence- FLAWED intelligence provided by a FLAWED executive branch. I'd like to see you making those kinds of decisions. He's admitted that, given the benefit of hindsight it was the wrong decision, hindsight is a great thing isn't it? This kind of political grandsatnding helps no one. Treason? Honestly.

what's a better apology than not running for president.
PersonalJesus348 4 years ago
Jesus guy, although I admire Biden I agree with you 100% People who voted for the war need to be held to account. I do think Biden is sincere in doing what he thinks is best right now but have alot more respect for those who spoke out against the war at the time US was pro-war like Kucinich, Paul, Obama, Gore...
elguapoalso 4 years ago
exactly.
PersonalJesus348 4 years ago
oh... you mean Obama who couldnt vote yes or no on the issue, and Gore who was not in government to do anything about it.... interesting. Oh and Paul and Kucinich are representatives, that means there district elected. They could vote for killing babies and still get re-elected.
johnkerry7 4 years ago
and Gravel? what do you have on him? he's clean and he's running and he acknowledges it was a mistake from the start. He is also a WWII veteran and a huge number of them agreed from the start that its not a war that should've been started.

hey look i can give you negative marks on your comments as well.

So in a nutshell you excuse the Dems who voted for the war because it would have spelled their political demise to do otherwise. Well, there were Dems who voted against the war in the senate and got re- elected and Dems who voted for it and got booted out of office, so voters should reject that reasoning entirely. It's not valid.
elguapoalso 4 years ago
Votes of that kind of magnitude should not be made because of political expiedience. Alot of Dems were afraid to speak out against the President at the time because they were too afraid of the big, bad GOP attack machine branding them as weak pacifists. Hillary is still doing it right now with Iran but it has blown up in her face. To Biden's credit he's now obstructing and not perpetuating this horrible neocon agenda.

Having a way to get out of Iraq isnt good enough for you? He is the only one who will get out of Iraq, no one else has a damn plan!!!!
johnkerry7 4 years ago
Gravel, Kucinich, and Paul have plans to get out. Governor Richardson also has a plan.
PersonalJesus348 4 years ago
nononono my friend. Just saying "we are going to leave Iraq" is not a plan. Biden has put his plan on the floor of the Senate and has recieved support from Republicans. Also, you think Kucinich can get GOP support? You think Paul can win a general election? The only one that you mentioned that i respect is Richardson, but even his plan is reckless.
johnkerry7 4 years ago
What's so complicated about leaving. You tell your men "stand down" and start calling in the ships, helicopters, planes, tanks, boats, anything in.
And do I care if it tickles the GOP's fancy? I know what I want. And I think people would like Mike Gravel. He wants to empower you me and then some. I don't think it matter if its GOP or Democrat. We're equally jipped. We need to have power to hold our government. Instead of transfering our power by voting others.
PersonalJesus348 4 years ago
if he's not the next president (which I think he's a def front-runner) he has the potential to be a legendary sec. of state (I can only hope other candidates on both sides can see that)

This guy is the one who can win back trust from the rest of the world, I'm telling you.

we will do our best to get this man elected. I have faith in the American voters (shaken faith in 2000 and 2004) but faith non the less.

UnitedOffensiveIII 4 years ago 2
As Greenwald documents, the radios used by the FDNY on 9/11 were precisely the same ones that malfunctioned during the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center. Eight years after that attack, Giuliani did replace the defective equipment. But the new radios he bought under a no-bid, $14 million contract from Motorola (the previous contract was $1.4 million) were never field-tested.
UnitedOffensiveIII 4 years ago 2
The "upgrade" proved disastrous. Within a week, the just-purchased radios were recalled after a firefighter's mayday went un-heard. Giuliani was forced to reissue the old, faulty batch. And on 9/11 when a police helicopter warned that the North Tower could collapse, more than 120 firefighters remained inside.
"The radios failed them and that was Giuliani failing them," says Roseleen Tallon, whose brother Sean was an FDNY member killed in 9/11.
