First Choice ain't going. Only their Boeing aircraft have gone. They will keep their Airbus Aircraft and soon change back to FCA instead of TOM.

They was on a lease with TOM for 2.5 years and Thomsonfly wanted to stay a Boeing fleet so they took their Boeing aircraft and gave the Airbus aircraft back.

I know so many people in the business due to my dad who use to work there. He did the contracts for Thomson to get the 737-800NG and did the contracts for the PTVs onboard the 767s.

@ashleyforward223 Yeah they are. Due to the delayed arrival of the 787's Thomson have delayed the selling of some of the aircraft! So there are still going to be quite a few FCA liveried planes still about for a while.

im flying on a thomson flight next week to cyprus- i hope i am on a first choice livery 757 :) and wen i heard that first choice had merged with thomson in 2008 i was like nooooooooooo coz i wanted to be a cabin crew for FCA

@SuperMole666 Yes i agree with you there! they should keep the RR badge on the 757's, and i also think they should of kept FCA's call sign "JetSet" rather than "Thomson"

Except for the American Airlines flight, that was pilot error, Airbuses have a almost perfect safety record. They should be kept.

i have a sad feeling that thomson will get rid of the airbus' which annoys me because they were really good for short haul! really comfy green leather seats! and buckets of leg room!

@mikeyj1993 Yes, it does say in the description. They are getting rid of all the Airbus' because they want to remain with an all boeing fleet. This will certainly be the last year of the FCA airbus'

@ampafalls The actual airline now no longer excist, its been over taken by Thomson, so all the first choice planes are being re-painted into Thomson colours, and it should all be complete by the end of this year, so yes first choice planes are going fast.

@jellis4465 all the old ones, Thomson was more formal as Britannia and thomas cook as JMC air, and i flew with virgin sun a couple of times, in the ridiculously bright yellow a320s

@mikeyj1993 The paln was for FC to always get rid of the airbus before the merger, Thats why first choice got the priority in the UK for dreamliner

A sad end to a great airline. Hate the merger, its things like that, that kill off good airlines such as First Choice. Will be sorely missed. Great vid m8! Very moving. =-(

I flew for FCA for over a year then stayed with the company until after the merger a year later. It was a tough time for us and even though I moved back to my first airline it is truly a shame to see them go. Great tribute and to all my fellow Jet Setters, happy contrails :)

@badboiant29 They switched to Thomson over 2 years ago now, they've been flying under TOM flight number not FCA since then.

But the paint work will soon be gone, they'll all be in Thomson livery by late 2011, there should be no First Choice planes remaining by 2012.

Will always have a soft spot for G-OOBL it took me and my wife to Male Maldives and back for our honeymoon in 2009. Shame to see the livery go i've always liked it and FCA.

@kickittothesharks OMG!!! :O I cant believe you've said that, so do I! G-OOBL bought me and my family back from Barbados to Gatwick in January 08! Since then i've always been happy to see it! Just goes to show really how many miles those planes must go through! We've both been on exactly the same aircraft! :D
