David Cook and David Archuleta are both amazing singers, but David Cook deserved to win. He earned the right to be the American Idol, even if Little David was right behind him in that aspect. David Cook is so much more creative the Archuleta. David Cook, did 3 completley different songs (the night of the finaly) and Archuleta did 3 songs that sounded the same.

the real winner that night was Archuleta, the world saw the night before, when he gave the knonckout, and well, that show was fixed for Cook, Fox and Producers fixed results to make the white one win, that is true, see on this new season Anoop is out, why ?? because his background is indian, that show is for white guys, Fox and Producers fix the results always. But Archuleta is the best idol ever. He should be declared the real winner of that season.

I disagree completely. It has nothing to do with race. In my opinion, Archuleta is the better singer, but Cook is the more popular. The reason being that In spite of his singinging talents, Archuleta is a bit of a moron I think, not the smartest guy on Idol I'd say so that plays heavily against his popularity.

i know. anoop wasn't voted out because his background was indian. it was because he wasn't as good as a singer as kris, adam, or danny. it was also because he was very cocky, and many people didn't like his personality. i used to be a fan of his, but the night of scotts elimination just turned me away from anoop.

yeap agree. Archuleta was born to sing, cook won ok then (I believe Cook beeing sexier towards freaking stupid teens helped) but he will never get what Archuleta has. Cook is a Karaoke singer, he should be singing in a "band" maybe, he sounds like Robie williams, average voice but popular that's it. Archuleta is true, his voice and soul will always make the difference.

People need to realize that David A. didn't need to win American Idol to be a megastar. All American Idol did was allow millions of people to witness and fall in love with an amazingly talented and humble singer. His talent propelled him, not his title (or lack of it). People love HIM, search HIS name, stand for hours in the cold to catch a glimpse of HIM and we love him because even though we don't personally know him, somehow we DO know that he is as grateful for us as we are for him.

Obviously some people [including myself] think that Archie still should have won. But I've accepted that the official American Idol is Cook.
