The problem is with the video. What the tv camera is NOT showing is that you can actually SEE the mirror as he walks through it. In person this was a very cool illusion. The tv cameras make everything look black! So you can even see the mirror. Too bad.

Pretty good I must say, although I don't really care for his style. This illusion may have been cooler with better presentation and a little less schmaltz, but then again thats what made Doug Henning so lovable in the first place. He certainly influenced a lot of magicians to take up the art.

I had met Doug Henning backstage years ago, a true and humble gentleman. Worked a show where David Copperfield performed, what an arrogant, self-centered snob, seems only friendly when on camera.
