Good news. Time Warner backed out on the decision to implement these price caps due to consumer backlash. Keep spreading the word. We need to make sure these assholes have no chance of getting such policies through.

TWC just released the statement yesterday. Apparently a lot of people jumped on there ass when they tried it. There was already 15,000 letters written to Congress.

What they are testing is how many of us will rebel, if it's a small number that will still leave the new system profitable or if enough of us leave them to make it unprofitable. That's the only thing they are really testing. Can they price gouge us, and if so for how much?

The best way to fight this is to do the one thing they don't believe we will do. Cancel. I go from Time Warner to Grande communications sometime in the next billing period. Banner ad there says "No Caps" ;)

TW will respond by saying that they're also going to have a higher cap tier, something like a 100gbs. For that they'll probably charge over $100 a month, twice what we're paying now for unlimited. It's nothing but pure unadulterated greed and it'll be fun watching that company go under as they should when others like Verizon who are not quite as dumb as them eat their lunch.
