All we can hope is that Aboriginal people can "rebound" from the oppressive yoke of Christianity and they can salvage as much of their ancient culture as possible. Some of what has been lost can be retrieved from the many ethnologies, films, and audio recordings made over many decades.

i dont agree with the culture part as i see lots of culture here in ireland, but i do believe alot of organised religion is drastic, and very damaging. you should not be changing peoples beliefs, culture like this should be treasured, not demolished.

Christianity i seriously dont like. Same goes for other religions. The damage they have caused is just too much. Followers always worm their way around intolerance in their teachings also and act like everyone must bow to their 'saviour'

Actually christianity was something positive looong time ago, but yea, many peaople were killed by them during the time of inquisitions, but after and before too.

And they tryed to force every one to become catholic..... They are too aggressive, while according to the bible, it would what to be the 'religion of love'. People only find hate in this religion not love.(hate of others who arent christian...)

it is not fair to say that white man do not have culture. Sure christianity is not positive. But there are a lot of people in the white "so called civilized world" that are not at all like the ones conquering other nations. Peaceful nice and good people that do not harm anyone, don`t like the way the World is ruled by profit either. I`m ashamed of living in a World where our good is the rest of the Worlds bad, just for our comfort. I don`t play THEIR game. I feel out of place here.

I agree with your comment Justin, here in the US we were told and treated the same by the Catholics and the Mormons. Leaving most of our people lost with out a soul.
